Connotation Development, Realization Mechanisms and Historical Enlightenment of “Adhering to the Party Leadership” Liu Honglin 2022, 56 (4):  5-13.  Abstract ( )   PDF (6365KB) ( )   “Adhering to the Party leadership” is the first important historical experience of the centurylong struggleTo have an indepth understanding, first, we should research on the ideological connotation, political essence and theoretical logic of the Party leadership based on relevant expositions drawn from classical Marxist texts; second, it is necessary to combine the theory and practice to understand the Party leadership and to correctly grasp the close relationship between the Party leadership and its power; and third, it is also important to have a profound understanding of the concepts, realization mechanisms and requirements moving over time to uphold and strengthen the Party overall leadershipSummarizing the theory and practice of adhering to the Party leadership over the past century, this paper provides several implications: to adhere to the Party leadership, we must firmly ensure the robust Party leadership and improve the leadership system as a guarantee for the Party to exercise its leadership; the Party leadership is based on an organic unity of direct and indirect leadership; in order to uphold the Party leadership for a long time, it is necessary to advance the Party leadership through its institutional system to be closely connected to the people and the overall lawbased governance in parallel; it is crucial to exercise the leadership and governing power effectively by governing according to the law; and adhering to and strengthening the Party leadership can neither “replacing the government with the Party”, nor using the Party's “governing power” to replace the “leading power”, not to mention “replacing the Party with the government” Related Articles | Metrics
