The Party's Innovative Theories in the New Era and the Construction of China's Independent Knowledge System
    Pang Lisheng
    2026, 60 (6):  25-34.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1128KB) ( )
The construction of Chinas independent knowledge system is an intellectual task that inevitably arises in the unfolding of the great practice of Chinese modernization, and it is also a strategic choice for consolidating the subjectivity of Chinese culture and creating a new form of human civilization amid profound global changes. As the latest theoretical crystallization of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times, the Party's innovative theories in the new era embody a clear problemoriented approach, scientific methodological principles, and foundational theoretical achievements for the construction of Chinas independent knowledge system. The questions raised by the Partys innovative theories in the new era, concerning China, the world, the people, and the times, provide strategic problemoriented guidance for constructing Chinas independent knowledge system in the new era. The “six musts” and the “two integrations” embedded in the Partys innovative theories in the new era provide scientific methodological principles for the construction of Chinas independent knowledge system. The foundational theoretical achievements embedded in the Partys innovative theories in the new era need to be expounded in a systematic and scholarly manner so as to lay a solid theoretical foundation for the construction of Chinas independent knowledge system.

The Transformation of Theoretical Modes of Thinking: A Methodological Path for Constructing China's Independent Knowledge System
    Zhu Xuewei
    2026, 60 (6):  35-43.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1118KB) ( )
The remarkable achievements through pursuing the Chinese path to modernization demonstrate that contemporary China has made historic breakthroughs in subjectivity and originality in its practical exploration, and that its further development urgently requires contributions of subjectivity and originality at the level of theoretical construction. Constructing China's independent knowledge system has therefore become a major theoretical and practical issue in the development of contemporary Chinese society. Fundamentally, the methodological path for constructing Chinas independent knowledge system is by no means confined to partial improvement or surface renewal of knowledge perspectives, knowledge frameworks, or the knowledge system; rather, it reaches into the transformation of the theoretical modes of thinking that underpin the knowledge system itself. Only when theoretical modes of thinking shift from dependence, imitation, and externality to subjectivity, originality, and immanence can the systemic transformation and overall renewal of knowledge perspectives, knowledge frameworks, and ultimately the knowledge system be advanced; and only then can the historic mission of constructing Chinas independent knowledge system be truly shouldered.

The Chinese Expression of “a Better Life”
    Xiang Jiuyu
    2026, 60 (6):  44-54.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1140KB) ( )
Constructing China's independent knowledge system calls for distilling distinctive concepts to provide innovative scholarly interpretations of Chinas modernization practice. The Chinese expression of “a better life” unfolds as a distinctive Chinese discourse, Chinese narrative, and Chinese solution, suited to the scholarly need for interpreting the Chinese path to modernization. The Chinese discourse of “a better life” is a discourse that unites the interpretive with the normative, the critical with the constructive, the national with the cosmopolitan, and the spontaneous with the conscious. The Chinese narrative of “a better life” unfolds, at different relational levels, between human beings and things, the self and the self, person and person, humanity and nature, and China and the world, as narratives of common prosperity, free development, social solidarity, harmonious coexistence, and a shared future, respectively, forming an integrated narrative system. The Chinese solution for “a better life” is a governance program that transforms the institutional advantages of the Party's leadership into the efficacy of creating a better life; a cultural program empowered by the “two integrations” at its core; and a civilizational program driven by the new path of Chinese modernization and a new form of human civilization. The Chinese expression of “a better life” carries not only Chinese significance but also worldhistorical implications.

The Multidimensional Effects of AI-Empowered Chinese Modernization and the Governance of Its Risks: From the Perspective of the Five Major Features of Chinese Modernization
Chen Yao, Tao Xinxuan, Che Lijuan
    2026, 60 (6):  55-69.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1353KB) ( )
Intelligentization is a fundamental trend in the modernization of todays world. As the core driving force leading the new round of scientific and technological revolution, artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the modes of social development and systematically empowering the overall practice of Chinese modernization. Based on the five major features of Chinese modernization, this paper constructs a fivedimensional spatial analytical framework of “productiondistributioncultureecologyopenness” to portray the multidimensional landscape of Chinese modernization: from internal drivers to the external environment, from material foundations to spiritual guidance, from development to sharing, and from domestic governance to global interaction. It systematically expounds the multidimensional empowering effects of AI in unleashing the advantages of a huge population, promoting common prosperity, coordinating material and culturalethical progress, advancing harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature, and participating in global governance. In response to potential risks such as the substitution of human labor by machines, distributional imbalances, cultural erosion, ecological pressures, and digital hegemony, this paper proposes governance pathways including unleashing the creative effects of AI, building a fair distribution system, strengthening value guidance, advancing green and intensive development, and deepening collaborative global governance, so as to open up new horizons for AIempowered construction of Chinese modernization.

The Scientific Definition of “the Human” and the Ontological Transcendence of the Marxist Idea of People's Democracy
    Wang Heng, Wang Shilong
    2026, 60 (6):  70-81.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1166KB) ( )
The definition of “the human” is the logical starting point for the construction of democratic theory, and issues such as the essence of human beings, their forms of existence, and their attributes constitute the ontological problems of democratic theory. Liberal democratic theory takes the abstract, selfish, atomized “rational man” as its ontological foundation, giving rise to insurmountable theoretical predicaments and practical drawbacks. The Marxist idea of peoples democracy scientifically defines “the real human being” on the basis of the processes of sociohistorical development, socioeconomic conditions, and future social forms; reveals the subject premise of democracy through human historicity; clarifies the essential content of democracy through human sociality; and manifests the ultimate goal of democracy through the association of free individuals—thereby achieving an ontological transcendence of liberal democratic theory. To develop wholeprocess peoples democracy, we must fully understand and grasp the scientific definition of “the human” as defined by the Marxist idea of peoples democracy, take “the emancipation of humanity” and “the allround development of the human being” as our core pursuits, fully embody the will of the people, safeguard the peoples rights and interests, stimulate the peoples creative vitality, and effectively mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity of all the people in advancing Chinese modernization.

The Capitalist Application of Artificial Intelligence Intensifies the Inherent Contradictions of Capitalism: An Analysis Based on Marx's Labor Theory of Value
    Sun Daiyao, Diao Weiqi
    2026, 60 (6):  82-91.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1282KB) ( )
Marx's labor theory of value reveals the inherent contradiction of capitalism: in its pursuit of surplus value, capital, on the one hand, strives to reduce labor time to a minimum, while, on the other, makes labor time the sole measure and source of wealth. The development of artificial intelligence (AI) and its capitalist application have intensified this contradiction. AI further replaces human labor, causing the creation of commodities to depend increasingly on the leverage effect on objectified labor rather than on the direct exploitation of present “living labor”; the speed and scope at which it displaces wage laborers far exceed the job compensation generated by expanded reproduction. The substantial reduction of necessary labor time and the exponential growth in the volume of products bring AI unprecedentedly close to the free service of natural forces, creating the material possibility for the emancipation of labor. However, as the sole source of value is gradually eroded, capital still strives to measure the immense power afforded by technology in terms of labor time and turns AI into a sophisticated instrument for deepening exploitation in order to relieve the pressure of a declining average rate of profit, thereby giving rise to numerous new forms of alienation. The capitalist application of AI does not falsify the labor theory of value; on the contrary, it further confirms the historically transient nature of the value form and of the capitalist mode of production that produces it.

A Reexamination of the Status, Relationships, and Development Trends of Economic Sectors under Different Forms of Ownership in a High-standard Socialist Market Economy
    Bao Weijie
    2026, 60 (6):  92-103.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1312KB) ( )
Ownership of the means of production lies at the core of the relations of production and determines the fundamental nature and direction of social development. At present, in the course of accelerating the building of a highstandard socialist market economy system, certain misconceptions still exist regarding the status of and relationships among economic sectors under different forms of ownership, and these call for further clarification. On the one hand, debates and discussions concerning the dominant position of public ownership reflect both peoples keen attention to the intrinsic link between the socialist nature of the state and the publicownershipbased economic foundation, and the necessity of reaffirming the basic theoretical proposition that “public ownership plays the dominant role”. On the other hand, regarding the epistemological issues surrounding the nonpublic sector in the socialist market economy, it is necessary, on the basis of dispelling such erroneous views as “the state advances while the private sector retreats”, “the exit of the private sector”, and the “expedient measure” theory, to grasp the status and role of the nonpublic sector from the perspectives of social wealth and social foundation. At the same time, oriented toward a highstandard socialist market economy and guided by the principle of “complementing each others strengths and developing together”, promoting the highquality development of economic sectors under different forms of ownership, particularly consolidating the ownership foundation for cultivating new quality productive forces and for making solid progress toward common prosperity for all, has become the developmental direction for upholding and implementing the “two unswervings”.

A Study on the Institutional Logic of the Diffusion of Intelligent Production Conditions and Pathways to Achieving Common Prosperity
    Zhang Qinyue, Hu Cheng
    2026, 60 (6):  104-118.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1350KB) ( )
Taking Marx's discussion of “conditions of production” as its theoretical starting point, this paper puts forward an analytical framework of “intelligent production conditions” and reveals how artificial intelligence, through the intelligentization of the means of production, labor capacities, and spatial structures, achieves a systemic restructuring of the conditions of production, bringing about the dual effects of productivity leaps and the reshaping of distribution patterns. The diffusion of intelligent production conditions may, under different institutional arrangements, take either a “commonprosperityoriented distribution” path or a “distributional imbalance” path. The basic economic system of socialism with Chinese characteristics provides a fundamental guarantee for the commonprosperityoriented path of diffusion, forming a Chinese pathway in which intelligent production conditions empower common prosperity. However, under the combined effects of technological selfreinforcement and the timelag of institutional response, the diffusion of intelligent production conditions may also trigger imbalances such as the concentration of capital, the polarization of labor, and spatial disparity. To this end, institutional innovation should respond in a timely manner to technological iteration, improving the tiered and coordinated governance system, the mechanisms for the reproduction of labor power, and the mechanisms for regional coordination, so as to direct the diffusion of intelligent production conditions toward common prosperity.

The Transformation and Adjustment of the Subject-Object Relationship in Ideological and Political Education Brought About by Generative Artificial Intelligence
    Shan Wenpeng
    2026, 60 (6):  119-128.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1133KB) ( )
Deepening research on the subjectobject relationship in ideological and political education is intrinsic to fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and to advancing the highquality development of ideological and political education in the new era. Through its semantic deconstruction, logical decomposition, and meaning generation in regard to complex value propositions, generative artificial intelligence (AI) has broken through the onedimensional cognition embedded in the existing theoretical frameworks of the subjectobject relationship in ideological and political education, transformed the paradigms in which relations between people, and people and things, and the active and the passive unfold, and is profoundly reshaping the modes of existence, fields of action, and interactive logic of the subjects and objects of ideological and political education. At the ontological level, the “quasisubjectivity” of the technological intermediary triggers an extension of the categories of subjects and objects; at the spatial level, an educational ecology charac
