With the invasion of western imperialism in 1840,the struggle against imperialism and feudalism for national salvation became the pre-requisite for China’s economic development.Against this historical background, the Communist Party of China creatively integrated Marxism with the reality of the Chinese revolution and led the Chinese people to the success of new democratic revolution, liberating China from the oppression of semi-feudalism and semi-colonialism.The second transition occurred after the founding of new China. In order to get out of the traps of poverty and backwardness in the shortest time possible and realize industrialization,CPC chose to pursue the course of socialist industrialization to catch up with the world. To achieve this goal,a planned economic system was set up.Then,at the end of the 1970s,CPC implemented the reform and open policies to break through the development mode that had contained only public ownership and planned economy, and finally decided on the mode of socialist market economy. Thus, the third transition was completed. Now,China is marching on the course of socialist development characteristic of the Chinese style, which has institutionally paved the way for a great revival of China.
