    2011, (3):  5-11.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2705KB) ( )
The notes Marx left behind made in his late years are of a great theoretical treasure house. The study of these notes lends great help for us to better interpret the theoretical contents and essence of Marx’s thoughts in his late years, and deepens our understanding of the creative philosophical ideas as reflected in these thoughts.Marx did not give up the task of writing Das Kapital then, nor was he "dying slow".Instead,he was working on expanding and deepening the theory of historical materialism on the basis of scrutinized inspections and comprehensive studies of the new form of world development. Thus,he succeeded in enhancing his theory in view of world history and achieved a major philosophical innovation.

Analyses and Reflections on the Characters and Status Quo of the Value Concept of Contemporary University Students
    Research Group
    2011, (3):  28-37.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (3013KB) ( )
The paper presents the research findings of a project on the value concept of contemporary university students.Contemporary university students hold firm political beliefs with a strong sense of national pride and national identity. They maintain rational identity of the Party’s governance ability, are concerned with people’s livelihood, show much interest in active involvement of political issues, and behave pragmatically;however, there exists diversity between their political ideals and their actual behaviors. They have the right ideas about environment protection and public ethical awareness, but lack the ability to exercise self-discipline.They have good knowledge of observing the law but sometimes may violate the university discipline. They fail to integrate their choice of major and career aspirations, their personal interest in occupation and capacity in occupational development, their occupational competence and occupational quality and so on.Significant hierarchical and homogeneous gaps are found between their ideal of life and their choice of life.Their concept of love and marriage is of a mixture of the traditional and the modern. They suffer from varying degrees of psychological distresses caused by a mismatch of instrumental motivation, learning methods and willpower. They have strong physical self-consciousness,imbalanced development of psychological self-awareness,and vague social self-awareness.It is also discovered that their value dimensions are influenced by factors like political status, grade and gender with the political status being the leading factor.

Interactional Development of Industrialization and Urbanization and Security of the Interest of the Chinese Farmers
    CHEN Liang, YANG Jing
    2011, (3):  38-43.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1339KB) ( )
The authors observe that the damage to the interests of the Chinese farmers is highly correlated to both the rapid process of industrialization and urbanization, and the imbalanced interactional development of the two.We should be aware that while industrialization and urbanization is an inevitable trend in the course of economic and social development,it should be consistent with the interests of the farmers. The farmers’ interests cannot be guaranteed without the rational process and positive interaction of industrialization and urbanization. Therefore,it is necessary to grasp the connotation of the interactional development of industrialization and urbanization appropriately, and clarify its positive impact on realization of the farmers’ interests. Thus, explorations into effective approaches to protect the farmers’ interests by promoting the interactional process of industrialization and urbanization are required.

An Attribution Analysis of the Widening Global Income Distribution Gap
    GU Ya-guang
    2011, (3):  49-55.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1747KB) ( )
The paper attempts to discuss the trend of worldwide income distribution gap since the 1980s among and within individual countries.Based on a comparison of typical cases of countries and regions, the trend of a rapidly widening gap is identified. The paper holds that market economy has played a decisive role in this trend. In the face of global economic competition, efficiency oriented policy allows various countries to assume a tolerant attitude towards the widening income distribution gap.In fact, economic globalization has not contributed to global mobility of labors, and the setup of strong capital and weak labor force has also led to enlarged gap of income distribution.

    TAO Yu
    2011, (3):  56-61.  DOI:

Guided by industrialization and marketization,an orderly reform of the cultural system is on the way with the purpose of promoting innovative development mechanism for cultural prosperity by taking advantage of the means of marketing. This situation has given rise to questions like how to theorize the industrialization tendency of non-material production, and if this implies that non-material production can create value.Based on an analysis of the connotation and nature of value, the paper claims that value is a specific historical form of material product in a society of market economy. The labor that produces non-material product does not create value. This basic property can not be changed by industrialization.

On Interests Secured through International Public Authority
    CAO Xing
    2011, (3):  62-67.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1456KB) ( )
Security of interests by international public authority is a basic issue that involves the development of human political civilization. From the realistic perspective of IR theory, international public authority is mainly rooted in citizen interests, national interests and global interests. It should change and develop simultaneously with changes in and progress of the relations of these major interests. The mingling and conflicting nature of the three sources of interests decides the difficulty of utilizing the international public authority.Given the reality of the 21st century, the international public authority may not seek to balance the citizen interests, national interests and global interests,or pursue homogenization of interests.Rather, the interests secured show a shape of inverted ladder.International public authority tends to prioritize national interests over other sources of interest, considering the global interests a development tendency, and the citizen interests a neglected aspect.

    WANG Jing
    2011, (3):  76-83.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2475KB) ( )
The democratic consolidation theory is one of the major themes of western political science. It is closely related to the political development theory and political transition theory. The theoretical foundation of democratization consists in these theories. The evolution from the political development theory to the democratic consolidation theory shows the developmental logic of the political theory, that is,development of theories is successive in nature, which means that they have consistent themes, research approaches and research purposes. The impetus of theoretical development mainly lies in the changing political world and newly arising research approaches.Researches on theoretical development contribute to precise understanding of the connotation of political theories and offer important normative value and significance for further evaluation and application of political theories.

Biological Analogy and Development Stages of Evolutionary Economics
    BAI Rui-xue
    2011, (3):  84-90.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2103KB) ( )
Evolutionary economics attempts to resort to biology as the natural science basis of explaining social economic phenomena. This is a breakthrough of the classical mechanics basis which has dominated western economics for almost two hundred years and thus promoted a revolutionary development of modern economics. There are different classification criteria to define the development stages of evolutionary economics.Based on the approach of biological analogy of evolutionary economics, this paper identifies three development stages of evolutionary economics. They are: the formation stage when Darwin’s evolution theory was applied as the general analysis frame, the application stage when Darwinist comprehensive evolution theory and biological theory were further applied, and the development stage when universal Darwinism was referred to as the ontology basis and thus transcended that of the biological analogy. The characteristics of biological analogy and the contents of evolutionary economics at each stage are discussed. The future development prospects of evolutionary economics are also proposed.
