On the Significance of the Value of Justice in International Order
    YANG Guang-hai
    2006, (9):  33-39.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (993KB) ( )
The concept of international order can be defined in both narrow and broad dimensions. It is a system of values with peace, stability, security and justice as its core imperatives, assuming apparently normative, purposive and functional features.Of these values, justice is of indispensable significance.Justice is the moral law and fundamental denominator of the nature of the international order. It functions as a necessary complement and adjustment to redress the limitations and biases of the other values. All this means that justice is inherently related to order, and a discussion of the latter would be meaningless without a consideration of the former.Hence,it is logically wrong and practically pernicious to argue that justice and order are mutually conflicting and incompatible.

    WANG Lu
    2006, (9):  57-62.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (759KB) ( )
Thrift is a concept with extensive and profound meaning in Marx’s economics.According to Marx, saving time equals to developing productive capacity and hence shortens the necessary time, resulting in an increase of free time.Based on this concept,Marx relates thrift to the overall and free development of humans in the future,to the harmonious development of man and nature, and to the integrated development of the whole society as well. Therefore, the study of the idea of thrift in Marx’s economics from the perspective of associating thrift with development can be of significance in guiding us to realize the scientific concept of development and quicken our steps in constructing a thrifty and harmonious society.
