    CHEN Xian-da
    2006, (3):  5-11.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (708KB) ( )
Philosophy originated in life, but it has moved away from life in the course of its progress;Philosophy gave birth to science, but it has been rejected by science. An important factor that accounts for this phenomenon is the conflict between humanism and scientific concepts. In this sense, appropriate handling of the relationship of philosophy, life, and science is a crucial aspect for further development of philosophy.Marxist philosophy is rooted in the real world, concerned with social life, and generates achievements of science. Thus,it is capable of handling the relationship of philosophy with science and life appropriately.

Textbook of Economics Can Exclude "Contradictions Embedded in the General Formula of the Capital"
    WEI Xing-hua
    2006, (3):  48-52.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1099KB) ( )
For a long time it is customary that textbooks of economics start with two chapters devoted to "the general formula of the capital" and "the contradiction in the general formula".It is in the following chapters that the theories of how the premise for hard cash to change to capital and for the surplus to be produced is labor turning to become product are introduced. The paper holds that it is necessary to reconsider some issues concerning "the general formula of the capital" and "the contradiction in the general formula".The author reasons that exclusion of "the general formula of the capital" and "the contradiction in the general formula" from economic textbooks and economic courses will not weaken the theory of surplus values. On the contrary, this will help eliminate questionable points and thus explain the theory more precisely and concisely.

International Social Conception of the Engligh School and Its Interpretation of Unification of Europe
    TANG Xiao-song, HUANG Zhong
    2006, (3):  77-81.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (550KB) ( )
The English School integrated three theories in the tradition of international relation ideology, namely,Hobbes,Grotius and Kant,to establish a special concept of international society.Rooted in Europe,it discovered some empirical evidence from the reality of Europe. This international social concept provided solutions to problems that the traditional theory of unification of Europe failed to provide, that is,the internal characters of unification of Europe and its international orientation. The English School holds that unification of Europe follows a two-fold progress in which both the EU International Society and the EU World Society function, and the practice of unification of Europe is,to a large degree, attempts of seeking balance between the two. From the perspective of international orientation, the European Union International Society is a special international society caught between the European International Society and the Global International Society. All three types of international society influence one another and together they push forward the course of unification of Europe.
