Governing with Risks and Construction of Harmonious Society
    XIE Di-bin
    2005, (6):  10-14.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2454KB) ( )
Rapid development and changes are characteristics of a transitional society, which may incur social risks. The author points out that social risks are inevitable in modern society, especially during the transitional stage when a society develops from a traditional one into a modern one. Social risks in a society are usually negatively correlated with the degree of social harmony. In a transitional society, two types of social risks are generally identified, namely, internal risks and introduced risks. In China, these risks are embodied in the forms of management risks, system risks, structure risks and environment risks. These social risks should be properly governed before construction of harmonious society can be realized. Measures of governing include control of social risks, distribution of social risks, and digest of social risks.

Micro-mechanism to Cope with Insufficient Demands of Consumption——Analysis and Optional Strategies
BAI Bao-li, LIU Fan, WEI Jun
    2005, (6):  15-20.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2633KB) ( )
Insufficient total demand of consumption is a headache amid the imbalanced macro-economic situation in China. A micro mechanism to cope with this imbalance is through market pricing of the salary. Two characteristics of the labor market are observed. One is excessive supply of labors, the other is monopolistic demand of labors. This leads to a low price of labor with the consequence of insufficient demand on consumption. To solve this problem, a series of reforms need to be implemented on the marketing system with the purpose of constructing harmonious society.

Western Philosophy against the Variation of the Sacred and the Secular
    PENG Li-qun
    2005, (6):  27-30.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2420KB) ( )
The relation between the sacred and the secular is a dimension of interpreting the western philosophy. The sacred stands for the uniqueness, unchanging, infinite, and eternity, while the secular stands for variety, change, finite and decay. From the perspectives of the relations of man with the material, with other men and with himself, development of the western philosophy has been following a course of three stages, that is, starting with increasing degree of the sacred, moving on from the sacred to the secular, and then getting lost in the secular.

The Sacred and the Secular with Configuration of Chinese Modern Philosophy
    JIANG Hai-nu
    2005, (6):  31-34.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2433KB) ( )
Unlike the western tradition, the Chinese classical philosophy of Confucius, Buddhist and Taoism tend to over emphasize communication and integration of the sacred and the secular on ontology, life and cultivation, reducing the distance between the sacred and the secular, which results in metaphysics. To achieve profound interpretation of the life world, configuration of the Chinese modern philosophy emphasizes awareness of the problems of the secular and draws on concepts of Marxist philosophy and modern western philosophy to reconstruct the theoretical framework. In this way, a frame of discourse patterns and utterance modes in the light of Chinese modern philosophy is shaped.

Aquinas’s Law of Nature and Integration of the Sacred and the Secular
    LIU Su-min
    2005, (6):  35-39.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2498KB) ( )
According to Thomas Aquinas, the law of nature is a bridge that connects human-law and eternal law. The law of nature is considered to be metaphysical, sacred and unchanged on the one hand, and with, humane, and instability on the other. The of nature law can interact with human law of and eternal law, which will result in mutual understanding and double characters. Thus, the natural law functions to guide man’s secular practice with sacred spirits. In this way, the essence of Aquinas s idea of transition from divinity to human nature and the link between the two are realized through the organic integration of the sacred and the secular.

The philosophical support of this concept lies in Marxist historical materialism. To understand this idea it is necessary to acquire a thorough and precise understanding of the point of departure of historical materialism and a thorough and precise understanding of the double significance of human activities of material production.

Significance of the Idea of "Sharing" in the Progress of Cooperation of Northeast Asia
    HAN Cai-zhen
    2005, (6):  52-58.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2693KB) ( )
A system does not only consist of a substantial structure, but also of shared beliefs and common political culture. Theories of constructivism further identify idea, culture and knowledge as the point of departure and emphasize the function of beliefs. An analysis of causes that have postponed the process of cooperation in Northeast Asia establishes one of the causes as lacking the idea of sharing. Therefore, construction of the idea of sharing in Northeast Asia is seen as an objective to achieve in order to systemize regional cooperation in the future.

Analysis of External Properties of Financial Network
    CHENG Hua
    2005, (6):  59-64.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2708KB) ( )
The network for financial dealings is a one-way network with two indirect externalities properties, they are increased mobility brought about by its extension, and free information concerning the market price. From the perspective of industrial organizational evolution the network effect has led to intensified centralization and competition in the financial market. On the one hand, this can promote further progress of the financial industry; on the other, it may raise the probability of financial risks and consequent harm. In this respect, the crucial point to ensure satisfactory operation of the financial network lies in coordination of the behaviors and expectations of the participants. Popularity of the Internet makes it possible for the financial network to reach its maximum effect. Recent progress in the financial market such as the improved structure, innovative tool and reform in methods of dealings are all closely related to the introduction of the Internet.

Analysis of the Communist Party of Russia and Its Future Prospect
    LU Wei-zhou
    2005, (6):  81-87.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2683KB) ( )
The author observes that the Russian Communist Party now faces serious crisis of survival and is trapped in a difficult position of development. While the external causes that have led to this situation should not be neglected, the internal causes seem to be more crucial. The author maintains that considering the present situation of the RCP itself and aspects from the Putin regime, there are still possibilities for the RCP to get rid of the crises and to rise again. However, whether RCP can manage to stay alive in the Russian political forum depends heavily on if it can establish active and reasonable theoretical principles with feasible strategies.

Defining Properties of Currency Cannot Be Transcended
    WEI Jian-bin
    2005, (6):  88-91.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2357KB) ( )
The defining property of currency lies in its capability of being exchanged with any given commodity, the value of this commodity being measured by that of the currency. In other words, currency serves as a general equivalent, and the essential quality of currency is fixed as a kind of commodity functioning as general equivalent. For this reason, Marx defined currency as a general commodity in contrast with other particular commodity.
