Marxist Philosophical Conception of Matter and Modern Natural Science
    YAN Meng-wei, YANG Qian
    2001, (9):  9-15.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1070KB) ( )
Achievements of modern physics involves several issues concerning philosophical conception of matter. First, what man can understand in relation to objectivity and knowability of matter is interaction of objects within the practice-field. Out of the practice-field it does not make sense to talk about whether the nature of objects is knowable. Second, with regard to unlimitedness and limitedness of the material world, the philosophical outlook of the universe differs from that of the natural science. In terms of the determinism and non determinism, statistic character of quantum mechanics does not indicate that the world is fundamentally statistical or of non determinism, but rather, it simply indicates that the interaction among objects is unity of the inevitable and the accidental. As for the question of evolution and degeneration from the perspective of the unlimitedness of the universe, neither evolution nor development should be viewed as the sole nature of the material world. The material world, on the whole, can only be seen as unity of evolution and degeneration.

From Regularity to Regulation: Marxism and the Changing Core of Theories of Knowledge
ZHANG Ji qing, HUANG Ming zhe
    2001, (9):  16-23.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1630KB) ( )
The traditional theory of knowledge originated from reality, considering the inherent regularity of the objective world the aim of recognition and content of knowledge. With the rise of virtual reality, however, we are obliged to change our perspective and consider regulation the core of examining the theory of knowledge. Regulation of knowledge refers to regulation of formulation and construction of matters and their relation. It reflects the subject dimension of human knowledge, and interprets the world as “endless process of transformation from the endless process of nature’s growing”. Regulation of human knowledge has undergone four development stages, namely, behaviorist regulation, experiential regulation, formal regulation and digital regulation. Regulation of knowledge today consists of knowledge about knowledge, that is, knowledge about how to obtain knowledge, how to apply knowledge and how to exercise knowledge.

    LI Dong yan
    2001, (9):  37-43.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1655KB) ( )
The study of global politics and global issues is a newly developed research area. It attempts to ex-plain and describe changes in the setup of power distribution under circumstances of globalization. Compared with traditional studies of internat ional politics, the new research area has gone beyond the nation- oriented system and its central ideas such as power of the government, internat ional relation, state sovereignty and so on. Its scope of re-search covers all kinds of behaviors of various countries and non- government organizat ions with emphases on global interests, global relation and global values. The aim of this research is to explore world order or internat ional pattern beyond the network of sovereign states. Many worthwhile theoretical and practical issues of common concern have been raised. Among these issues are the posit ion and function of sovereign states, relation between national interests and global interests, solut ion to world problems and ways to manage the whole world and so on, to name only a few.
