On Modernity of Marxist Philosophy in the Light of Heidegger
    WANG Jin-lin
    2000, (2):  17-23.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1384KB) ( )
Heidegger is a great admirer of material historical conception. However, as his interpretation of “labor" is made against the modern context he criticizes material historical conception as, after all, a kind of humanitarianism which presumes that “man is a kind of rational animal". Actually, both “labor" and “survival" have discarded the metaphysical idea about the abstract nature of man as individuals. And this is just where modernity of Marxist philosophy lies.

On Theories of Social Economic Adjustment by Marx
    CHENG Bao-liang
    2000, (2):  24-28.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (740KB) ( )
Marx, who initiated theories of social economic adjustment, maintained that distribution of the total amount of labor in proportion is a general principle which could be applied to all social forms. The ways of actualizing might vary from one society to another, though. He pointed out that under circumstances of private commodity economy this principle was realized through competition in the market and law of value. Under circumstances of capitalist economy, it was manifested by regulations in the form of materialization and values of social products as a whole. He made the scientific prediction that in the future society of public ownership, people would realize proportional distribution of the total amount of labor by means of direct control and planning in advance.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (801KB) ( )
Internationalization of industry is an important basis and prompt for globalization and integration of world economy. It is also closely related to transnational management and, in particular, large scale investments abroad. In this sense internationalization of industry is a direct result or achievement of transnational management of enterprises. Its major features are marked by four aspects, namely, internationalization of production, transnational management, large scale and intensified production and management, and internationalization of the setup of competition in the market.

On Various Interpretations of the Setup of the World
    LI Jing-zhi
    2000, (2):  43-48.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (570KB) ( )
This article holds that precise judgment of the world setup should rest on scientific proofs. Based on the law of technological and economic development, changes in competition among big powers, new disintegration and combination of different forces as well as themes of the time, the author believes, a multi-polar tendency of the world setup is in progress. The author maintains that the ideas that the multi polar tendency has been “broken up", the single polar means “one super power", and that the world is moving towards a “non polarized" setup are not well grounded or convincing enough. Multi polarization will be a long and complicated process, but it is inevitable.

From “In My Opinion" to “Examined against Reasoning": Meditation on Methodology in the 20th Century
    TONG Shi-jun
    2000, (2):  49-56.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1543KB) ( )
In the 20th century development of methodology experienced the following development stages. First, the stage of “making and testing hypotheses"; Second,Kuhn’s idea of rejecting possibility of a common criterion for comparison of development of science at different stages, Feyerabend’s idea of “whatever method will do", and Putnam’s idea of circulation of theory and method; Thirdly, within the Western culture there exists a tendency of colonization of humanities by natural science, and an “anti colonization movement" against it by social humanitarian methodology. Finally, the author points out that how to transcend gradually from the defective “me" to the guiding “we", a concept leading to self perfection, will become a major theme for methodological research in the new century.

Modern Investment Theory in the West and Prospect of Its Application in China
    LIU Feng-liang, LIU Ming-xing
    2000, (2):  64-69.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1006KB) ( )
To understand the macroeconomic characteristics of investment, we should study the micro-foundation of investment behavior and its relationship with the investment in aggregate. Under circumstances of market economy, it is the firms that play the major part of investment aimed at formation of the capital. Therefore, the theory of their investment behavior becomes an important basis for research in investment theories. This article offers a survey of the development of theories in investment behavior in the past hundred years. In it the author attempts to explain the connotation of the theory, outline the trace of thoughts, and summarize the method of analysis. Weaknesses and future tendency are also discussed. The author is optimistic about the prospect of applying the Western modern investment theories in China.

Inspiration of Perceptive Theory to Ideological and Political Education
    LIU Jian-jun
    2000, (2):  70-74.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (637KB) ( )
This article maintains that an important factor that accounts for the unsatisfactory effects of ideological and political education is that people tend to look at the issue only from the point of view of the “educator". The attitude of the people being educated and their process of receiving education are generally neglected. The author suggests that it is possible as well necessary that we refer to ideas and methods of modern perceptive theories so as to change this situation.
