    1998, (1):  21-24,64.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (405KB) ( )
This article holds that establishing a scientific assessment system is the pre requisite of reform in market orders.Generally speaking, market orders include orders of goods into and out of the market, orders of dealings, and orders of competition.Based on all this a system of three categories with 34 entries can be designed.External aspects such as macro economy, perfection of laws or regulations, and monitor structure are not included in this assessment system as they do not belong to the discipline of market orders. They may have some influence over market orders, though. With this assessment system both qualitative and quantitative evaluation of market operations can be conducted, and thus providing relevant data and offering suggestions for policy-making.

    Hao Lixin
    1998, (1):  25-30,64.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (819KB) ( )
Deng Xiaopings Theory is in essence reflection of socialist movement in the 20th century, especially experiences of ups and downs in constructing socialism during the latter half of the century. In fact.Dengs theory is the inevitable product of Marxism in oriental societies where economy is lagging behind.Deng developed Marxism in three related respects, namely, methodology of social epistemology, nature of socialist society, and development of socialism. His exploitation of new perspectives of Marxism signaled a new era of development of Marxism in China.Under the new historic circumstances he managed to apply new methods to observe and analyze new problems arising in the course of socialist construction, and summarized the nature and law of socialism in new theoretical framework. In short,it was Deng Xiaoping who first attempted to systematically solve problems facing developing countries, that is,questions of how to establish socialism and how to strengthen it thereafter.

Seeking Truth from Facts and Dialectical Thinking
    Yang Guorong
    1998, (1):  31-36,65.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1784KB) ( )
The author of this paper claims that seeking truth from facts,an important concept rooted in China straditional philosophy,is basically related and similar to materialist dialectical thinking. To be specific, the native concept of comprehending the nature of objects by observing the appearances of the samples, which leads to the metho dology of study ing objects nature, reflects the unity between objectivity and totality. The methodology of analogy inolves the dev elopments from specific objects to general conclusions, from general conclusions to specific objects again, which in fact covers such principles as induction & deduction, speciality & abstraction, analysis & conclusion and etc.The study of the relationship between nature and human, along with the obsenation of historical changes, demonstrates that the organic unity between historical methodology and logical methodology, the thought of rich experience emphasising the unity between theory and facts, between knowledge and behaviour are identical to dialectical materialism.

On Relations of China,USA and Japan at the Turn of the Century
    Li Jingzhi
    1998, (1):  37-41,64.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (722KB) ( )
The pattern of the world has changed from a setup composed of plates to one of pivot points. The fact that China and Japan each occupies such a prominent point complicates the relations of China,USA and Japan. However,at certain periods of time in the course of history the interests of individual countries may very often turn out to be the decisive factor to shape policies concerning international relation. The author maintains that as long as the USA gives up its improper conception of state interests.as long as the relation of the three countries is resting on equality, mutual benefits and non interference, the relation can be expected to develop beyond divergence in social system and ideology, and the three countries get along well.On the hand the US and Japanese foreign policies are complex and changeable because of their multi-element features of distributing benefits and their structure of policy-making.On the other hand,we should be aware of the plasticity of their policies.By taking appropriate measures it is possible to exercise influence on the foreign policies of USA and Japan so as to create an optimal international environment of peace required by the cause of reform and open-up.

On Studies of Chinas Early Economic Structure Since the 3rd Plenary Session of 13th Party Congress
    Hu Zhenghao
    1998, (1):  42-47.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (967KB) ( )
Studies of Chinas early economic structure focus on such aspects of national economic management as historic development nature and characteristics, basis of choice, mechanics of operation, and position and function.Conflicting ideas arise, particularly in generalization of the nature and characteristics of the economic structure, leading to different opinions in mechanics of operation, basis of choice, and position and function of the economic structure. Most people agree that two economic structures once existed then. But they disagree on whether these structures are marked in terms of social elements (such as socialism or new democracy),or marked in terms of allocation of resources (such as market or planned economy or combination of the two).More researchers propose and have started dwelling on the mechanics of operation, the findings of which may shed light on market economy in the preliminary stage of socialism with beneficial feedback.
