    Definition of Compromise and Analysis of Its Constitutive Requirements

    Compromise refers to the compromise in the sense of alleviating the social contradictions under the modern social conditions. In modern society the basic point of compromise behavior is to obtain the winwin cooperation; the basic way of compromise behavior is negotiation and consultation; mutual interest transfer is needed in the related conflict parties; compromise is not only option to solve or relieve social contradictions. Compromise behavior is roughly composed of three elements. They are:related parties of social contradictions generally have a sense of reason; fair and reasonable institutional arrangements; a large number of social organizations. At the present stage in China, only the three elements of the aforementioned compromise act are formed can a complete compromise mechanism beestablished, which helps to promote social development and progress.

    The Types, Causes and Governance of Contradictions between Officials and Civilians in China Today

    As a prominent problem the contradiction between government and people has stepped into the “period of manifestation” and has become a new growth point of the current social contradictions in China. “Direct interest conflict” and “no conflict of interest” are the two basic categories of contradictions between officials and civilians. The contradictions between government leading and peoples demand, national function transformation and peoples psychological expectations, the conflict of public power competing with the peoples interests, peoples rights awareness, network amplification boosting effect and the simply means of resolving the contradictions constitutes the factors of contradiction between official and people. Although the situation of resolving the contradictions between the officials and the people is grim, there are still many advantages and spaces. But to realize this goal the transformation of the state governance is needed.

    The Legitimacy of Marxs Concept of Justice——Reflection on the Premise of Research of Contemporary Justice Theory

    To promote the study of Marxs view of justice, it is necessary to reflect and solve some prerequisite questions, including the legitimacy of Marxs concept of justice. Marx excluded the old concept of justice in the sense of world view, while the development of contemporary political philosophy required Marx theory to respond positively to the question of justice.Therefore, we should go beyond the scope of the original word meaning of justice, equality and extend to rationalization of the relationship of human beings. On this basis, we should explain Marxs concept of justice as follows: “The free development of everyone is the condition of the free development of all”, which is the soul of Marxs view of justice. We should also take the standard of productivity, the critique of right, the critique of ideology, the strategy of revolution and so on as the category system of Marxs concept of justice.

    Marxs theory of metabolic rift dissects the breakdown of metabolic interaction between humans, nature, and society under capitalism. It reflects Marxs theory on ecological crisis——humans hegemonism over nature. The root of hegemonism is dualistic thinking pattern and centralism, which results in an alienated world based on the logic of capitalism. Marxs practical materialism is the key to deconstructing dualism and centralism, and eradicating hegemonism and absolving alienation. Besides, its crucial to cultivate human love for the world. Ecological civilization is possible only by effectively coordinating ideology, system, and emotion, and resolving the confrontation between human and nature.

    The Leadership in East Asian Cooperation and Institutional Competition between China and Japan

    As the biggest economies in East Asia, China and Japan compete with each other via international institutions in order to win the regional leadership. Therefore, the two countries show different preferences when making choices among various regional cooperation institutions such as “10+3” and “10+6”. To be specific, SinoJapan relation, as well as the institutional competition between China and Japan, would intensify as the strengths gap between the two countries widens, and the involvement of US in East Asia increases. However, with the tendency of strategic contraction of US, China and Japan should work beyond the traditional competitive logic, and also develop new paths to cooperate while still competing during the process of promoting integration in East Asia.

    The return of open regionalism indicated that the research perspective of the new regionalism in East Asia has a misunderstanding of open regionalism.The objectives of open regionalism which China advocates can be summarized as follow, to create an open economy with a regular consistency from countries to regions to the world, to fundamentally solve the problem of trade and investment liberalization,based on the idea of openness. With regards to this, China had reconstructed the basic rules of open regionalism, and vigorously implementing the FTA strategy to create a unified regional market. In the future,Open regionalism will be facing the three major challenges of antiglobalization,regional unified market construction and regional cooperation mechanism construction.

    An Analysis on the Fluctuation of ASEANs Leadership in Promoting East Asia Cooperation

    2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN, and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of East Asia Cooperation mechanism which began in 1997. During this period, ASEAN established a series of cooperative mechanism towards building a nested superimposed“ASEAN Plus” structure, and gradually solidified its leading position in East Asia Cooperation, resembling a “small Cart” situation. But ASEANs leadership in East Asia Cooperation is not a stable one, facing constant internal and external influence, while having to resist against volatile environmental changes. There are three main conclusions in this paper: First, by examining the three changes in ASEANs leadership in East Asian cooperation, it is believed that ASEAN could use the “ASEAN Plus” to supplement its fragile leadership. Second, using the four dimensions of “Initiative, Attracting, Controllability and Execution” to evaluate the dynamic changes of ASEANs leading role. Third, the future course of ASEANs leadership will witness fluctuation. ASEAN needs to overcome numerous obstacles, to dynamically maintain its leadership role in promoting East Asian cooperation.

    Whither the TPP: The Transformation of the United States AsiaPacific Regional Economic Integration Policy

    TPP is an important part of the U.S. “rebalancing strategy” towards AsiaPacific, however the Trump administrations decision of with drawing from TPP has symbolized a significant change in the U.S. regional economic integration policy for AsiaPacific. At present, there are mainly five scenarios for TPPs future, namely abeyance, diminution, transformation, decomposition, and demise. In the order of these five scenarios, the willingness of the United States to maintain TPP declines, the deconstruction of TPP and the deviation from the Obama administrations AsiaPacific policy increases, and the uncertainties in the regional economic cooperation gradually grows. In the “postTPP era”, the external pressure on AsiaPacific regional economic integration will ease to some extent, but at the same time the internal dynamics will also lose its momentum. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the AsiaPacific Free Trade Area (FTAAP) will face more intricate policy game and more difficult negotiations. While “joining TPP” providesan additional policy option for China, it is imperative for China to achieve a relatively highlevel progress in RCEP negotiations and to promote regional economic integration in a progressive way.

    In todays practice of economic development the scale of total production value by the name of money,real assets and virtual assets has been increasing. The gross value of these monetary names and the true meaning of various assets have become an important issue in theory and practice. This paper analyzes the principles of the dynamic role of labor in the creation of wealth, the role of labor consumption in the reproduction of labor force, and labor that create value. Through the determination of the relations linking the labor value of wage goods, wages and wage goods included in the labor, this article has found the trinity of internal relations of the use of value, money prices and materialized labor. This paper puts forward that “synthetic commodities”, which consist of a basket of wage products needed by the reproduction of labor force, can be regarded as the value scale of money. The paper thus has clarified the deep meaning of the names of money and the content represented by assets.

    The process of ideological and political education is a complex and pluralistic system. Different process factors exert different influences on the trust of ideological and political education. The credibility of ideological and political education and the trust tendency of the educated constitute the antecedent variables of trust. The situational factors such as the function of the educator, interpersonal trust, teaching management, organizational atmosphere, and external trust of the school constitute the intermediate variable of trust. The structural equilibrium and irrational function of trust in ideological and political education constitute the outcome variable of trust.

    Can Labor and Work Be “Political”?——A Critical Interpretation of The Human Condition by Arendt

    Arendt made a strict distinction between labour, production and political action. She believes that labor only shows the common ground between human beings and animals, and therefore has nothing to do with political freedom. The production process can not be separated from the means of purpose and consequently conflict with the characteristics of political freedom. She made a corresponding criticism of Marx. Fundamentally, Arendts conceptual analysis is antihistorical. She required to return to the original political experience of ancient Greece, namely, to exclude labor and production in politics. This is not only on the contrary to the real history of ancient Greece, but also has many fallacies in the theory itself.

    Based on the fundamental principles of Marxist historical materialism, New Marxists represented by Frederic Jameson, David Harvey ,Terry Eagleton and Arif Dirlik etc., explore the postmodernism in the second half of the 20th century by using the“production mode theory” to define its mechanism from an economic viewpoint, guided by the“totality ”concept,stressing the absolute necessity for the grand narrative in an age fraught with fragmentation, smallness and discontinuity, and selecting the“dialectic method”as the judging mode to assess postmodernism objectively from both sides. Their Marxist interpretation has generally been accepted as a leading approach in postmodern studies and exerted extensive influence on the fields of humanities and social sciences worldwide, fully demonstrating Marxisms validity as an ideological system of universal truth even for the postmodern era.

    Economic Base, Democratic Promotion and Informal Institutions——Three perspectives of rural public goods supply

    This paper mainly expounds the three perspectives of rural public goods supply. The economic base theory insists that the supply of public goods depends on the development of village economy; democracy promotion theory holds that improvement of the villager autonomy system will enhance the supply of public goods and performance; the non institutional factors with clan network, cultural practices and social capital as the carrier also have impact on the supply of rural public goods. The above three perspectives represent the main ways of thinking about the supply of public goods in Chinas rural areas, but there are some deficiencies respectively in these three explanations.
