On Two Traditions of Technological Philosophy LIU Da-chun 2007, (1):  33-37.  DOI: Abstract ( )   PDF (637KB) ( )   This paper discusses the origin of the division of the two traditions of technological philosophy.The author points out that the division of technological philosophy into the tradition of engineering and the tradition of humanism from the perspective of essentialism can be traced back to the conflicting ideas of scientism and humanism.But there exists a misunderstanding about this that needs to be corrected,that is,the technological philosophy in engineering is related only to the spirit of science,while the spirit of humanism is enjoyed by technological philosophy of humanism alone.It is worth mentioning that nowadays the engineering tradition and the humanist tradition tend to be synthesized.The author stresses that in the studies of technological philosophy fewer labels should be used,and our attention should be directed more to the research problems instead. Historical Nature of the Concept of Right ZHANG Kang-zhi 2007, (1):  38-43.  DOI: Abstract ( )   PDF (791KB) ( )   The concept of right is a basic component of the modern bourgeois ideology.Both the legal system and nomocracy in the modern society are established on the basis of this concept.However,the concept of right does not maintain a rational existence under the historical circumstances of pre-industrial and post-industrial societies.The social rule in the pre-industrial society is characterized as rule by the powerful based on a hierarchical social structure,while the social rule in a post-industrial society is one of the ethics based on a cooperative relation of coexistence.Neither of them needs a premise of political right.Therefore,it is safe to say that right is a historical concept. A Review of Literature on Political Coase Theorem YANG Rui-long, ZHONG Zheng-sheng 2007, (1):  44-50.  DOI: Abstract ( )   PDF (711KB) ( )   Political Coase Theorem is the extension of Coase Theorem into politics.However,the hypothesis that politics resembles the market has been nullified by the special prescriptions of the political market.Likewise,the Political Coase Theorem is also rejected because generation of this theorem has been based on that hypothesis.The paper then discusses why the Political Coase Theorem does not work and analyzes the aspects that account for its failure to function.These aspects include volunteer participation,lack of ability to make political commitment,the opposition of political losers,the conflicts in redistribution,and historical accidentality.
