    Xu, Dou-dou
    2001, (11):  5-10.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1218KB) ( )
Under circumstances of knowledge economy,"values of knowledge"is sometimes referred to as"economic knowledge"or"knowledge based economy"in the academic circle. However, this interpretation is somewhat defective. This article attempts to dwell on Marxist philosophical interpretation of knowledge and value ontology. The author maintains that knowledge is, in essence, reflection of values of human existence and activities of human practice as well. Therefore, realization of knowledge means realization of existing values of human beings. The article then explores the internal link between theories of values of knowledge and values of laber. It reaches the conclusion that the phenomena of values of knowledge and knowledge innovation in the era of knowledge based economy are topics within the scope of the theory of values of labor initiated by Marx, which manifests the modern perspective and modernity of Marxism.

    QIAN Zai-jian
    2001, (11):  11-15.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (878KB) ( )
Urbanization is generally considered the inevitable trend and a practical approach for China. According to this article, cities function as motives of regional economic growth and social progress. Urbanization, therefore, is the ultimate solution to the dual structure of urban and rural areas. Urbanization is also an effective way of rearranging the rural labor force. However, the author points out, many problems have arisen in the course of urbanization. For instance, lagging behind industrialization, unbalance in levels urbanization among regions, and presence of uncontrollable aspects of development in cities and in the countryside. The author concludes that the most suitable strategies for urbanization in China in the new century are as follows:improvement of the functions of cities, promotion of development in middle and small cities, reinforcement of regional urbanization and perfection of the marketing system.

Property Right of Personnel Assets and Structural Evolution of Property Right of Enterprises
    LIU Dong
    2001, (11):  16-21.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (761KB) ( )
The author observes that property right of personnel assets rests on the labor forces, and capitalization of the profits of personnel assets is a historical tendency moving towards what Marx referred to as "private ownership based on sharing productive materials". The reform of state owned enterprises, in essence, means owners of personnel assets receives partial property of the enterprise in return for his profits, while freedom of contract stands for a means to guarantee valid dealings in the market. The author concludes that this principle should be followed in adaptation of property right of state owned enterprises in China.

    SUN Hui, QING Wen-hui
    2001, (11):  22-28.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1090KB) ( )
Starting from the latter half of the 19th century till the outbreak of World War I was the first wave of globalization. But real globalization did not occur until about ten years after the end of the Cold War. While globalization has brought about an increase in wealth worldwide, it has also given rise to intensified polarization between the developed and developing countries, and between the rich and the poor. This tendency can be accounted for by various complicated historical and practical causes.

    LI Yi
    2001, (11):  36-41.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1964KB) ( )
Different answers to the question "what is philosophy" reflect different or even conflicting philosophical conceptions. Since the modern time the Chinese cultural conservatism has adhered to the philosophical concept of metathysics of morality and held that philosophy is meaningful only at the subjective level. Thus they criticized the non philosophy aspects of Marxist philosophy at the objective level and the revolutionary level.
