Industrial Integration and Policy Making Design in Chinese Enterprises Today
    Zhang Rui
    1998, (9):  16-21,64.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (742KB) ( )
Dispersion of state capital leads state owned enter prises into a disadvantag eous situation. It is the unsat isfactory supporting policies for the reform, such as the ones concerning taxation, finance, trade management and foreigncapital, that give rise to disinteg ration of state pro perty rights and stag nation of capital. If we do not quicken oursteps in rear ranging property rights of the enter prises to achieve industrial integr ation, it is likely that some multination enterprises will do this for their own benefits. Therefore, it is urgent that we adjust and perfect our po licies in favor of annex ation of enterprises besides activating our capital market and propert y right mar ket in or der tobe successful in industr ial integ ration.

Paradoxical Movement of "Presentation" and "Thought"——A Theoretical Model of Process of Cognitive Development
    Sun Zhengyu
    1998, (9):  22-26,64.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1573KB) ( )
This article holds that presentation" and thought" should be regarded as key categories in describing paradoxical movement of cognition for the reason that they sy mbolize reality of the perceptual" and the rational" int he cog nition process, reasonably explaining integration of content and form in cognition, which lends itself easilyto construction of new norms in the process of cognitive development. The paradox ical movement of presentation"and thought" consists of three steps, namely, thought handling" presentation referred to as perceptual concrete", thought evaporating " presentation referred to as rational abstract" , and thought reorganizing" presentation referred to as rational concrete" . Using paradox ical mo vement of presentation" and thoug ht" to interprett he process of cognition makes it possible to transcend empir icism and rationalism and reach a practical interpr etation of paradoxes of the perceptual and the rational, presentation and thought , as well as thinking and existence.

On New Confucian School of Modern Times and Post Modernism
    Li Xianghai
    1998, (9):  31-36,64.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1002KB) ( )
This is a comparative study of the new Confucian school of modern times and the school of post modernism. The author holds that the former attempts to set up values of life to enable man to live in peace by inspiring benevolence with modern interpretations and establishing modern epistemology. The latter , on the other hand, arguesfrom the antiessence and antibasis point of view that man can never expect to settle down in peace. Sour cesoft hese differences bear remar kable characters of the time when they emerged and the ethical backgr ound from whicht hey have sprung up. The logic of Western cultur elies in a change from freedom to nihility, while the Chinese philosophy treasures a path towards acknowledgement of the human world. Similarities between the two canbe foundout in their claims of harmony between man and the world from the latter, and man being an integral part of naturefrom the former . They both criticize the negative effect of modernness, too. However, these similarities are farfrom enough to prove that the 21st century will be dominated by the Chinese culture. The Chinese philosophy stillfaces along way of maturity with the task of moder nizing its values and, meanwhile, maintaining the good qualit iesof the Chinese nation.

My Understanding of Sino- Russian and Sino- American
    Fang Lexian
    1998, (9):  37-41.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (562KB) ( )
The establishment of China- Russia and China- America strategic partnership comes from a combination ofnew features of international politics and mutual benefits of the two pairs from the perspective of longterm interests in the 21st century. This situation is a direct manifestation of the trend that international relationships amongbig powers are becoming more mechanic and more stabilized, and the basis of new international relationship ismarked by nonalignment, nonantagonism, and no opposition to a third country . Establishing strateg icpart-nership with both Russia and America is animportant part of China 's omnibear ing foreig n policy . Our relationshipwith Russia appears to be less problematic, while the one with America is more complicated. Therefor e, the Sino-Russian relationship may stand more stable than the Sino- American relationship.

    Dai Maolin
    1998, (9):  45-49.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1057KB) ( )
The Charter of the Anshan Iron and Steel Company is the product of the special period of the great leap forward" . Its essential ideas lie in the slogan two participation, one reform, and three combination" . This is a greatachiev ement of Mao Zedong in his attempt to get rid of the Soviet model of business management in industry , andto probe into possibilities of creating Chinese models of development in industrial business. It has its historic limitations, though. The author points out that while the Charter is related to Seventy Regulations in Industry (ADraft) " in certain aspects, they ha e many differences, too. They both played an important ro lein our industrialbusiness manag ement , and should be appraised under the historic circumstances of that particular period.

Relation between Western Institutional Economicsand Orthodox Economics
    Lei Da, Hu Shuguang
    1998, (9):  50-54.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (597KB) ( )
Institutional economics, once regarded as heterodoxy by orthodox economics and then applied in or thodox economics to analyze the system, has in fact or iginat ed in ortho dox economics. It used to be against or thodo xeconomics, but later returned to orthodox economics and formed a research norm of analyzing economic issues from theperspective of uncertainty in the system. There are differences between institutional economics and orthodox economics in research subjects and resear chmethods, which lead to conflicts between the two. These conflicts are reflected in t he former 's criticism of the latter , including disapproval of its longterm and shortterm meanings, objection to its method of model analysis, revision of some of its concepts and its unreal premises of hypothesis, andopposition to its policy o f laissezfaire as well.
