    Chen Yan-qing
    1997, (2):  12-17,63.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (679KB) ( )
The revolution in Marxist philosophy is actually revolution in the mode of thinking. It emphasizes the decisive influence material activities has on mental activities, and insists that human life should be interpreted in the light of material activities. As a school of modern materialism Marxist philosophy is based on the theory of practice. Its conception of nature is conception of human nature in human relations, and its conception of the society examines the society from the perspective of human relationships resulting from material production. Marxist philosophy analyzes the relation between the society and the nature as being mutual mediums. By explaining the social nature of cognition Marx put cognitive activities under the circumstances of human history, getting the concept of cognition firmly grounded by the correct theory of noumenon. Marx expounded the relation among the true, the good and the beautiful with his theory on the development from the realm of necessity to the realm of freedom, which reflected the essential points of modern materialism.

    Chen Xiang-guang
    1997, (2):  18-23,63.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (895KB) ( )
Enterprise subsidy is an economic phenomenon existing in a certain economic system. If properly utilized as a means of adjustment it can effectively adjust the whole process of economic operation and,in turn, prompt economic progress and ensure technological improvement.Compared with enterprise subsidy under traditional economic system, enterprise subsidy in China today is different in two ways. One is reflected in a change from cover subsidy to overt subsidy;the other is a more rapid increase in the quantity of subsidy. In the course of the shift in economic systems large amounts of subsidies not only mean a heavy burden on national finance, but also pose serious obstacles for economic development and further reform in economic system. It is utmost urgent that a reform be carried out in enterprise subsidy mechanics so as to reduce the amount of protective subsidy of enterprises by the government.

The Course and Tendency of Scale Economy in China’s Agriculture
    Wu Li
    1997, (2):  31-37,64.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1036KB) ( )
This paper investigates the premise of realizing scale economy in China’s agriculture. Earlier reform characterized by family contracts had greatly stimulated the initiative of peasants. But with the passage of time the small scale management has become more and more inadequate for further development in production.Under the circumstances of market economy, scale economy in agriculture can be achieved only through full development of non agricultural production and large number of migration of surplus labors in the rural areas. Thus, the progress of development in socialist market economy plays a decisive part in pushing China’s agriculture to scale economy and attaining rapid return to scale. At present, promoting and perfecting the “dual-level management”is the best choice in order to achieve the goal.

A Detailed Analysis of Ecological Socialism
    Ji Zheng-ju
    1997, (2):  46-50,64.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1359KB) ( )
The concept of Ecological socialism came into being at a time when the Western world was trapped in a complicated and difficult situation of ecological crises and economic crises, when world peace was threatened, and when science and technology were developing rapidly. As the mainstream of the movement of ecology in the West, ecological socialism attempts to use Marxist theories to criticize capitalism, new colonialism, militarism, and hegemonism.Ecological socialists have put forward many theories and practical questions that are worth following up,such as industrial civilization and alienation of science and technology, development of Marxism, social politics, economic development, international relation, solutions to ecological crises and so on.However, ecological socialism is not without fault. For instance,it exaggerates ecological problems, and attempts to replace scientific socialism with anarchism. It manifests a kind of romantic illusion with a backward tendency, and therefore is challenged by a need for novelty in theories and tasks of selftranscendence.
