Development is the most important task for China in and after the 20th century. Comrade Deng Xiaoping, basing his judgment on the realities and having his eyes onthe future, formulates the grand three-step strategy and works out the strategic layoutof "one central task and two basic points". He puts forward the strategic principles andmeasures to promote a healthy development of China’s economy and society, and demands that a development project for this century and the next one be well drawnup. As to the mode of thinking, he requires that people tell the truth and be practical, proceed in all cases from the interests and demands of the people, grasp the rhythm of the development of the world, and abide by the law of dialectics. In short, DengXiaoping’s thought of development strategy functions as a significant guideline for China’s future development.

This paper puts forward suggestions for establishing new systems ofincome distribution. Among those are: setting up a national committee to makeincome policy, working out price-wage guidelines, improving currency, developinglabor markets, and perfecting the income tax system.

    The Epistemology Turn of Postmodernism
    Ouyang Qian
    1996, (3):  70-75,80.  DOI:
    Abstract ( )   PDF (2514KB) ( )
It is an essential character of postmodernism that it discloses the deep crisis ofmodernism from the epistemological dimension, and puts forth the postmodernism epistemology. Lyotard’s postmodern epistemology exhibits clearly the epistemological turnof postmodernism. Having explained the condition of knowledge and its functionalchange in postmodern society, he critizes the principle of unity as the kernel of modernism, and establishes the principle of diversity as the kernel of postmodernism. Fromhis logic we can find how postmodernism answers the cultural crisis of contemporarysociety.
