Comments on Modern Neoconfucianism and Postmodernist Thoughts Yi Junqing 1996, (2):  8-12,80.  DOI: Abstract ( )   PDF (2473KB) ( )   Neoconfucianism and postmodernism take the critique of the social evils in developed industrial countries and the negative aspects of modernization as basic standpoint,and aim at deconstruction of modernity from the point of view of both premodern and postmodern angles respectively. The combination and connection of neoconfucianism and postmodernism in the process of Chinese modernization are objectively hindering the emergence of modern cultural spirits. We must reject neoconfucianist and postmodernist cultural spirits,for China can’t join the modern world history without modernization. Though these theories can’t lower the high rate of inflation and the high rate of unemployment. they are still of some significance to bring inflation in our country under control.
