Abstract: The economic basis is the fundamental reason for social contradictions to be generated, aggravate or dissolve. Material benefits is the direct and concrete cause of social contradictions. The number and size of social contradictions, to a large extent, depends directly on whether the interest structure is fair or not, or depends directly on the level of unfair degree of interest structure. Non material interest factors have important influence on the social contradiction. The transition period has an intensified, amplified and squeezing effect for the causes of social contradictions, which shows a diversity of evolution of a large number of social contradictions.
