Abstract: Promoting the coordinated development of material and culturalethical advancement is a distinctive hallmark and an inherent requirement of the Chinese path to modernization. Reflecting from the perspective of the Chinese path to modernization on the threefold premises for the coordinated development of material and cultural-ethical advancement is of considerable significance. The theoretical premise clarifies the dialectical relationship of “unbalanced unity” between material and culturalethical advancement, and elucidates the conceptual connotations of the two and the logic of their interaction. The historical premise, in light of the stage-by-stage leaps by which the Chinese path to modernization has moved from catching up to keeping pace and on to leading, traces the practical forms and the inherent laws of evolution of the coordinated development of material and culturalethical advancement under different historical conditions. The value premise anchors itself in the fundamental goal of wellrounded human development and provides a normative benchmark for evaluating how effectively material and culturalethical development have progressed together. The three premises respond in turn to the three foundational questions of conceptual definition, historical evolution, and ultimate value orientation, and together build a complete framework of theoretical analysis for understanding the coordinated development of material and culturalethical advancement.

摘要： 推动物质文明和精神文明协调发展，是中国式现代化的鲜明标识与内在要求。从中国式现代化视域出发，反思“两个文明”协调发展的三重前提具有重要意义：理论前提厘清物质文明与精神文明“不平衡统一”的辩证关系，明晰二者的概念内涵与互动逻辑；历史前提结合中国式现代化从追赶、并跑迈向引领的阶段性跃迁，梳理不同历史条件下“两个文明”协调发展的实践形态与内在演变规律；价值前提锚定人的全面发展这一根本目标，确立评判文明协调发展成效的价值标尺。物质文明和精神文明协调发展的三重前提依次回应概念界定、历史演进、价值旨归三大基础问题，共同搭建起理解“两个文明”协调发展的完整理论分析框架。
