Abstract: To understand past and future orientation of China,one should transcend the limited historical experiences of the modern west and apprehend a bread vision of civilizations,because China is a civilization-state.Harmonious society and harmonious world,as ideas,not only have expressed a theory consciousness to construct a political philosophy,but also revealed a culture consciousness to digest the contradictions of the world history and open a way of independent development of Chinese civilization.

摘要： 中国是个有悠久文明传统的大国,必须超越现代西方的有限经验,上升到开阔的文明史视野,中国的既有和未来发展道路才能得到深入的理解。从和谐社会到和谐世界理念的提出,不仅表达了中国试图建构一种一贯的国家建设与对外政策哲学的理论自觉,而且体现了中华民族吸纳世界历史矛盾,开辟自主发展道路的文化自觉。理解贯穿中国内政和外交方略的内在逻辑,分析中国选择和平发展道路的根据是本文的任务。
