Abstract: Civilizational values constitute humanitys overarching and fundamental perspectives on civilization itself, as well as on the exchange, interaction, and integration among civilizations. Western civilizational values, underpinned by capitalist logic, have contributed to some extent to the expansion of global interactions. Yet, due to the inherent and inevitable contradictions of capitalism, misconceptions in human civilizational values and dilemmas in international engagement have become increasingly apparent. The Communist Party of China (CPC)s vision on civilizational values in the new era presents a narrative distinctly different from that based on Western modernity. Grounded in theoretical foundations such as the Global Civilization Initiative, the theory of civilizational integration, and the new form of human advancement, it asserts that diverse civilizations are equal in value and that the progress of civilization is a shared cause of all humanity. It introduces the concept of common human values, which align with the public interests of humanity and forge consensus from the values of multiple civilizations. Through dialogue and mutual learning, it promotes collective progress in human civilization. Upholding the civilizational values of the CPC reflects a fundamental commitment to the wellbeing of humanity in a true community. It advances the diverse development of human civilizations, fosters the building of a community of shared future for mankind by embracing diversity, and offers behavioral guidance for nations and ethnic groups based on a value system that prioritizes the overall interests and common wellbeing of humankind. This approach also contributes to rebuilding public norms in global governance.
