Abstract: The construction of the modern civilization of the Chinese nation in the new era is to complete the unfinished tasks of the modern transformation of the Chinese civilization and the rejuvenation of the Chinese civilization, realizing the transformation of the Chinese civilization from classical to modern form, and in the process of this modern transformation, creating the modern civilization of the Chinese nation and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The modern civilization of the Chinese nation is the modern civilization with the unique characteristics of the “Chinese nation”, the development form of the modern civilization of the “Chinese nation”, the “modern” form of the Chinese civilization, the cultural form of the Chinese path to modernization, and the highly developed socialist modern civilization with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. To build the modern civilization of the Chinese nation in the new era, we must strengthen cultural confidence, maintain a sound cultural mindset, and develop an independent cultural psyche; we must continue to be open and inclusive and create a socialist culture with Chinese characteristics while learning from the achievements of human civilization; we must uphold fundamental principles and break new ground, correctly handle the relationship between these two elements, and carry forward the fine historical traditions with positive energy and a pioneering spirit; and we must make the past serve the present, develop the new from the old, inherit and carry forward a cultural spirit that transcends time and national boundaries and has eternal attraction and contemporary value through “creative transformation and innovative development”, and create a new form of human civilization that is different from the Western model.
