Abstract: General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out during his inspection at Renmin University of China that young people should be staunch believers and active disseminators of the core socialist values, and exemplarily act them out. This not only emphasizes the key role of youth in the development and dissemination of socialist core values, but also indicates that socialist core values are the basic principles for young people to grow healthy and sound. We should deeply grasp the new requirements and expectations of General Secretary Xi Jinping for all young people to cultivate and promote socialist core values; moreover, we should understand and grasp the rich connotation and practical orientation of nurturing the new generation of the era with the core socialist values from the perspective of the overall strategy of realizing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the overall plan for nurturing successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
