Abstract: The countries and regions along “The Belt and Road” are mostly developing countries. These countries are different in size and resources, and there are obvious differences between their resources and religions and cultures. However, seeking development and realizing modernization is the common aspiration of these countries and regions. Despite decades of development, many countries and regions still face problems such as low level of income, large number of poor population, economic imbalance, disadvantageous position in international production and division of labor. “The Belt and Road” initiative is born in such a background, and it points out the way to the mutual benefit and winwin situation, create the concept of a shared destiny of mankind, which is a major breakthrough in the theory of development economics, as well as a great practice of a new development thought.
