Abstract: Individual value of ideological and political education in terms of the contents lies in such aspects as guidance of thoughts and behaviors,inspiration of spiritual motives,modeling of personalities,and regulation and monitoring of thoughts and behaviors as well.In terms of the scope it usually includes ideological,intellectual,and academic issues.Under circumstances of the modern society,new development is found in both the content and the scope.With respect to the content,it has developed from guiding to directing, from stimulating to converting,from molding to developing,from regulating and monitoring to adjusting.With respect to the scope,it has begun to extend to the network,life experience,psychology and environment.
