Abstract: Strategic trade policy is originated by Western economists in 1980s. It receives theoretical support from industrial organization and structure of the market. Incentives for development of this policy have come out of the reality of large-scale economic growth with partial competition. It shakes the superior position of free trade policies under circumstances of large-scale economic development with partial competition, and justifies interference on the part of the government.
