    Abstract304)      PDF(pc) (10259KB)(50)       Save
The booming digital economy has profoundly affected the reproduction process of labor power while reshaping production technology, production organization, and labor process. Based on the Marxs theory of reproduction of labor power, this paper applies Lebowitzs dual circulation model of capital and wage labor to systematically examine the new changes in the reproduction process of labor power under the digital economy. We find that, first, digital products have enriched the range of living materials for workers, and the education received by workers has shown a polarized trend. Second, digital production and consumption activities have blurred the boundaries between production and consumption, and labor relations have become increasingly unstable. Third, the financialization of labor power reproduction and the socialization of housework have accelerated, and the new business model in the digital economy requires the improvement of the social security system. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has made remarkable achievements in promoting the development of digital economy at the national level. In order to promote the digital economy to serve the highquality economic development, various social entities should make efforts to make sure the reproduction of labor power go smoothly, continuously fill the regulatory gaps in the field of the digital economy, and guide the healthy development of the digital economy. 《教学与研究》2024年总目录

    Abstract344)      PDF(pc) (9446KB)(46)       Save
In the Internet era, the construction of cyberspace based on digital, networked and intelligent technologies has provided a new field of activity for human spiritual communication practice, which promotes the extension of spiritual communication activities in real society to cyberspace and gives birth to a new form of communication practice, namely, spiritual communication in cyberspace. Spiritual communication in cyberspace is a practical activity based on virtual practice, connected by digital relationships, dominated by meaning sharing, and produced by network ideologies. Changes in the mode of production of information, innovations in media technologies, the evolution of survival practice, and the needs of human spiritual communication in cyberspace jointly promote the generation and development of spiritual communication in cyberspace. In the face of the profound changes in the practice of spiritual communication, we should scientifically grasp the value connotation of spiritual communication in cyberspace in realizing the comprehensive development of human beings, promoting the common prosperity of the peoples spiritual life, promoting the construction of cyber civilization in the new era, and building a community with a shared future in cyberspace, so as to open new prospects for the practice of spiritual communication in cyberspace.

Ecological culture is a cultural form that reflects and expresses the harmonious coexistence of human and nature, and is the cultural representation of ecological civilization. In the process of promoting the coordinated development of socialist spiritual civilization and ecological civilization, Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era insists on promoting the generation of ecological cultural theory from the height of comprehensive innovation, regards ecological culture as a broad process and result involving the ecologization of the entire socialideological regime, considers the promotion of the allround development of people as the value and purpose of the development of ecological culture, and requires the promotion of ecological cultural construction in accordance with systems thinking. In this way, the ecological cultural theory of the new era has been formed, with both the coordinated promotion of spiritual civilization and ecological civilization and the organic unity of Xi Jinpings thought on culture and Xi Jinpings thought on ecological civilization being achieved.

    Abstract403)      PDF(pc) (8136KB)(54)       Save
As an important part of the path of human modernization, the Chinese path to modernization has had a very important impact on shaping the pattern of world modernization. It is of great significance to continue spreading the Chinese path to modernization to the outside world, improving the external environment for its development, eliminating the Western misunderstanding, and enhancing the world significance of the Chinese path to modernization. At present, through foreign policy and international cooperation, trade cooperation and economic aid, media and information dissemination, cultural and educational exchanges and other channels, the overseas communication of the Chinese path to modernization has broken the monopoly of modernization discourses in the West, provided a new choice for mankind to achieve modernization, promoted the objective understanding of the theory of Chinese modernization overseas, and enhanced the worlds deep recognition of the practice of the Chinese path to modernization. While realizing these achievements, the overseas communication of the Chinese path to modernization also faces challenges such as the ideological bias of Western countries, the inherent dominance of Western modernization narratives that is hard to be shaken, the international expression of Chinese modernization that still needs improvement, and the need to improve the level of agenda setting of Chinese modernization. Therefore, it is necessary to take comprehensive measures to enhance the ability of the Chinese path to modernization to be disseminated overseas, such as consolidating the ideological foundation, highlighting the innovation and diversity of the narrative logic, enhancing the effectiveness of the international expression of the discourse, and improving the effectiveness of the agenda setting of the Chinese path to modernization.

A Study on the Mechanisms by Which the Structure of Primary Distribution Affects the Dynamic Balance of the Reproduction of Material Goods and That of Labor
    Zhou Shaodong, Zhang Yuying
    Teaching and Research    2023, 57 (7): 37-51.
    Abstract382)      PDF(pc) (11745KB)(150)       Save
The dynamic balance between supply and demand is essential to promoting highquality economic development. The supplyside relationships affect the “reproduction of material goods” and the demandside relationships are associated with the “reproduction of labor”. Among the various factors affecting the two types of production, the distribution structure of labor and capital at the stage of primary distribution determines the way in which laborers can restore their working capacity. Therefore, it has a complex and profound impact on the dynamic balance between the reproduction of material goods and that of labor. Starting from the two dimensions regarding the degree of labor compensation and that of demand satisfaction, this paper classifies the labor reproduction model into three types: shrinking, expanding and developing. It compares the capitalist distribution according to the value of labor, the communist distribution according to needs, and the multiple distribution modes of socialism with Chinese characteristics. We summarize the internal mechanisms by which the primary distribution mode of socialism with Chinese characteristics promotes the two kinds of production to achieve dynamic equilibrium: the “mechanism to guarantee the expanded reproduction of labor” in the nonpublic sector, the “mechanism of mixed employment and diversified distribution” in the public sector, and the “mechanism of compensation benchmarking” formed in the interaction between the public and nonpublic sectors. The farreaching significance of achieving a dynamic balance between the reproduction of labor and that of material goods is that it provides us with a theoretical solution to issues as regards the relationships between “taking economic development as the central task” and “adopting the peoplecentered philosophy of development”.

    Abstract808)      PDF(pc) (6095KB)(284)       Save
Examining the cyber environment of ideological and political education with the ecological theories and approaches is of important significance to correctly understand the relations between humans and the cyber environment in ideological and political education, profoundly analyze the internal mechanism of this cyber environment, and continuously promote innovations in the mode and method of ideological and political education in the cyber space. In ideological and political education activities, the connections and interactions between humans and the cyber environment constitute an ecological system. The cyber civilization construction is an important value goal of ideological and political education. The integral environment made up of both the virtual and the reality expands the connotations of ideological and political education. The ecology of cyber communications fosters the subjectobject relations. In the education practice, we can learn from the theory of ecological types and construct ideological and political education models based on different ecologies of different media so as to improve the pertinence and effectiveness of education.

A comparison of the ideas of Gramsci and Foucault may reveal the challenge of postmodernism to traditional ideas. In politics,Gramsci held a strong belief in the power of unity and considered party a modern monarch. He advocated organized political action, and was in favor of establishing positive revolutionary strategies.Foucault,on the other hand, was indulged in various deviance and sexual experience. He resisted party politics and considered all the political actions organized in the name of revolution to have a Fascism tendency, and then refused to grant these actions moral and ethical justification. In philosophy,Gramsci insisted on autonomous ideology of subjectivism, while Foucault fiercely criticized nationalism and humanitarian. However, that Foucault strongly criticized the defect and limitations of the traditional theory does not indicate that he had transcended the provisions of philosophy since the time of Kant in enlightenment ideas of human freedom. The point is not if he had given up the ideals of enlightenment. What really matters is if the concepts of rationalism and subject are changed so as to guide more positive political and historical practice.

Marx defined totality as the indivisable function of interdependence, interrelation, mutual influence, and interactions among aspects of relevance.Method of totality is an approach of overall analysis,i.e.to analyze things or objects by placing them in a complex structure or context in a dialectic way of thinking.Marx’s method of totality is the methodological foundation of establishing and grasping the wholeness of Marxism. It also offers methodological guidance for strengthening and promoting development of Maxist basic principles as a discipline. The author concludes that development of this discipline can be achieved by approaching it from an overall perspective, that is,attending to the object, the sturcture, the methods and the function.

    On Orientation of Rebuilding Anthropocentrism

    Abstract1108)      PDF(pc) (799KB)(1614)       Save
Human beings live in a network of relations. This network consists of eco-relation between man and nature, and social relation among human beings. Human activities are governed by both social rules and natural rules, with the society and nature dialectically related. Within the social system of human beings are two coordinates, the vertical one of time, namely intergeneration equity, and the horizontal one of space, namely, intrageneration equity. While rebuilding anthropocentrism both rules and both coordinates should be taken into consideration. Otherwise the rebuilding cannot be thorough. This orientation demands integration of echo-anthropocentrism, sustainable anthropocentrism and holistic anthropocentrism. Only in this way can anthropocentrism justify and pave the way for axiology of both eco-values and eco-morality.

    Marx and Globalization
    ZHANG Yu
    Teaching and Research    2002, (1): 30-37.
    Abstract1106)      PDF(pc) (1281KB)(1673)       Save
According to Marx and Engels the real task of the bourgeois society is to establish a world market and a production mode based on that market. This tendency is explicitly embedded in their concept of capital. However, globalization based on capitalist production mode does not result in sheer mutual benefits, as was predicted by bourgeois scholars. Instead, it gives rise to a structure composed of a central part and subordinated parts, which means cruel colonialist exploitation in the early stage, followed by an inherent worldwide inequity caused by transfer of the surplus brought about by monopoly of technology. As for the working class, it does not make a difference in the end whether protectionism or free trade is at work. The article maintains that in the light of preparations for material foundations, capitalist globalization actually paves the way for the communist society, a society marked by full development of individuals. Therefore, the author concludes, capitalism somehow unconsciously plays a positive role in the progress of history.

So holding on to Marxist economics means holding on to methodology of Marxist economics, the methodology of CAPITAL in particular. As long as we can understand and apply Marxist economic methodology, we will be able to arrive at new theoretical interpretations of the ever changing economic situations. Only in this way can we expect to develop Marxist economics that agrees with its dialectic nature and fits into the requirement of the modern time.

Since the 3rd plenary of the 11th Party Congress China has undergone a process of gradual reform in economy, politics and culture with the characteristics of developing market system on the basis of industrialization and socialist legal structure. During this process, it is imperative that we seek balance between dichotomies such as spontaneous action and conscious efforts, the part and the whole, reform and development, inside and outside the system, public ownership and marketing mechanics, conventional and modern and so on. Only in this way can we achieve a successful transition from planned economy to market economy while maintaining steady progress. This special model of reform is the product of China’s particular economic, political, historic and cultural structure, as well as China’s unique approach to reform characteristic of the Chinese style. Nevertheless, this model bears some general implications, namely, emphasis of political and social stability, and utilization of resources in traditional organizations.
