Abstract: After 30 years of reform and open-up,a series of problems caused by social contradictions have arisen because social development has obviously lagged behind economic growth.While problems in the urban and rural areas have similarities,they also differ tremendously because of the large gap between the city and the countryside.In the urban area the problems are of a larger quantity,of more varied types and varying in degrees of tensity.The attitudes of the urban and rural residents towards these problems,and the degree of contradictions between the people and the government are also different.Besides,social discrimination is stronger in the city than in the countryside.People’s means of protecting their rights and the development trend of the problems in the urban and rural areas are different,too.

摘要： 改革开放30多年来,由于社会发展明显滞后于经济发展,因而引发了一系列的社会矛盾问题。从目前我国的城市和农村来看,这些社会矛盾问题既有一些共同的特征,同时由于城市与农村之间的巨大差距,使得城乡之间的社会矛盾问题具有较明显的差别:城市社会矛盾数量更多、种类更齐全;社会矛盾问题的强度大小不一;城乡居民对社会矛盾问题的主观感受有所不同;官民之间的矛盾程度有所差别;城市中的社会歧视现象甚于农村;居民维权方式有所差别;社会矛盾问题的演化趋势明显不同。
