Abstract: Before and after the founding of the Peoples Republic of China, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) approached the issue of socialist transition by applying a comprehensive criterion that integrated relations of production with productive forces. It set the goal of transitioning to socialism as the establishment of a socialist society and planned to accomplish this transition over a considerable period of time. After the 8th CPC National Congress announced that the socialist system was basically established, Mao Zedong and other Party leaders believed that the transition period had not yet ended, and took the continued completion of the general tasks of the transition period as the starting point to understand and guide socialist construction. Amid complex domestic and international dynamics, the CPC increasingly prioritized issues of production relations during socialist construction. This manifested in the phased replacement of the “transition to socialism” with the “transition to communism”, as the notion of a distinct “socialist transition period” gradually faded from official discourse. The Partys exploration of the socialist transition period provides valuable historical insights for understanding the stages of societal development.

摘要： 中华人民共和国成立前后，中共中央以生产关系和生产力相结合的综合性标准衡量社会主义过渡问题，把向社会主义过渡的目标设置为建成社会主义社会，并计划在一个相当长的时间内完成过渡。党的八大宣布社会主义制度基本建立后，毛泽东等党的领导人认为过渡时期尚未结束，并以继续完成过渡时期总任务为出发点认识和指导社会主义建设工作。受到国内外复杂因素的影响，中国共产党在社会主义建设中更加突出生产关系问题，逐步用向共产主义过渡的提法取代向社会主义过渡的提法，社会主义过渡时期的提法逐渐退出历史舞台。中国共产党对社会主义过渡时期的探索，能够为我们认识社会发展阶段问题提供重要的历史借鉴。
