Abstract: he development of Marx's thought is a continuous process, which is reflected in his exposition of the proposition that private property is the necessary result of alienated labor in the Paris Manuscripts and his subsequent ideas. The main ontological ideas in this discussion are still applicable in his later critique of political economy. Methodologically, the flaw in Marx's argumentation is that he does not strictly distinguish between “concrete” and “abstract” as in the later period and draws an abstract concept of private property based on the concrete fact of private property. However, his tracing of the origin of alienated labor already contains the possibility of solving this problem, which is significant for understanding the question of “primitive accumulation of capital”. In the current context of philosophical interpretation of Das Kapital and other texts related to the critique of political economy, Marx's early thoughts, especially the theory of alienation in the Paris Manuscripts, provide valuable implications that cannot be overlooked.
