Abstract: In China, the leadership of the CPC in national development is the fundamental reason for all our great achievements. The new Party construction project putting political construction in the first place requires us to understand and grasp the party's practical themes and value lines in the four fields of political nature, purpose, political mission and responsibility, political ability ecology, and political cultural value from a comparative perspective. They are: developing Marxist principles around class foundations, breaking through Soviet reform practices based on major contradictions, using core strengths to surpass Western political models, and building cultural confidence to eliminate the threat of cultural hegemony. In this way, we can better integrate Party building and national development politically, and promote the partyled social revolution with the party's selfrevolution, so that our country can achieve a great change from keeping pace with the times to being at the forefront of the times.
