Abstract: SinoUS trade friction is both a challenge and an opportunity for Chinese agricultureThrough the analysis of the three subsectors of agriculture, this paper draws the following conclusions: The essence of trade friction is the US pursuit of fair trade and Chinas pursuit of free trade; China s countermeasures to raise tariffs of American agricultural products  will lead to loss of US producers welfare, Chinese farmers will benefit; the cost disadvantages of soybeans and the other three staple foods will persist for a long time, and trade frictions highlight the importance and vulnerability of the food industry; the direct threat to cash crops such as livestock products and fruits is relatively small, but the market squeeze pressure and potential threats cannot be ignoredBased on this, this paper puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions
