Abstract: Facing the increasingly severe international situation and many more global challenges, China put forth the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative based on the vision of future and destiny of mankind. The “Three Initiatives” are the practices of building a community with a shared future for mankind in different fields, which are distinctive, interrelated and unified with each other and jointly inject Chinese strength and provide Chinese solutions to address the deficit in peace, development, trust, and governance. As international public goods provided by China to human society, the “Three Initiatives” have made important contributions to global governance at both the theoretical and practical levels; for example, they have provided Chinese wisdom for global governance, broke the shackles of Western global governance theories, and helped promote the reform and construction of the global governance system.

Key words: “Three Initiatives”, global governance, “Four Deficits”, global governance system
