It analyzes the "Road of Bixi", explains two rounds of reform of property rights in township enterprises in Changshu, and describes transformation of four small workshops into modern enterprises. Thus, the author attempts to catch a glimpse of the course and motives of the development of the Southern Jiangsu mode, and discusses implications of this phenomenon.
