World outlook and methodology are the essential contents and fundamental characters of the basic principles of Marxism.They are the important basis to understand and grasp the integrity of these principles.World outlook and methodology,and their application and development as well,reflect the integrity of Marxist basic principles.It was by means of world outlook and methodology that Marx had studied political economics and scientific socialism,resulting in their focusing on integration of historical materialism and surplus value,and on unification of historical materialism and communist theories.The integration of historical materialism,surplus value and communist theories then led to perfection and maturity of world outlook and methodology.In conclusion,in the teaching of the basic principles of Marxism world outlook and methodology should be constantly referred to.

The author holds that the process of localizing Marxism and establishing the theoretical system of socialism characteristic of the Chinese style is in itself a process of adhering to and developing the basic principles of Marxism. The key to adhering to and developing the basic principles of Marxism lies in correct understanding of what these principles are. Being the product of practice,the basic principles of Marxism can only be developed in the process of practice and should not be treated with a dogmatic attitude. To maintain the guidance of the developing basic principles of Marxism we should adhere to the theoretical system of socialism characteristic of the Chinese style.

The author points out that how to understand the basic principles of Marxism and how to establish a scientific system of these principles are issues worthy of further studies.The basic principles of Marxism refer to the consistent and comprehensive theories expressed in the three components.They are theories that reflect the essential spirit of Marxism and represent the holistic nature of Marxism.They are also general theories that reflect the interests of the proletarians,combine theory and practice,have stood the test of practice,and are capable of explaining the series of related processes in the course of development.The basic principles of Marxism combine the studies of Marxist texts with the development of the era and the reality.As a science that guides practice and exploration,they demonstrate the essence of practice.That Marxism is a complete,powerful and dynamic theoretical system is determined by its characteristic of integrating ideology with its holistic and scientific nature and the character of practicality.

The author observes that there exists certain misunderstanding in distinguishing course development and discipline development,that is,the development of the ideological and political courses and the development of Marxist theories as a discipline.The author cites four cases of such misunderstanding:considering the development of Marxist theories as a discipline to have been resulted from the reform of the ideological and political courses,regarding course development of ideological and political studies to be equal to the development of Marxist theories as a discipline;confining the theoretical support of ideological and political courses to Marxist theories;and matching the five subjects of Marxist theories with relevant courses of ideology and political studies respectively.The author points out that an analysis of these misunderstandings is meant to clarify the relationships between courses of ideology and political studies and the discipline of Marxist theories.It is necessary to be aware of the differences between course development and discipline development.Meanwhile,it is equally important to place course development into the process of discipline development,and view development of a course from the perspective of the needs of the discipline it belongs to.All this is intended to improve the effectiveness of the teaching of ideological and political courses to enhance development of Marxist theories as a discipline.

To raise the quality of people’s life is an internal requirement of the. scientific concept of development and an indispensable element of a well-off society. The steady and general improvement of people’s life is not only a requirement of the "people first" scientific concept of development in building a well-off society, but also the essence of the ideas of all-round development, coordinated development and sustained development embodied in the scientific concept of development. Moreover, it means actualization of "the five overall-plannings" in social economic development guided by the scientific concept of development.

This article holds that the essence of the neo-liberalism economic theory conforms to that of e-conomic globalization, and that "Washington Consensus" by the former is but a form of practical expression of the latter. The author then further elaborates on the harm "Washington Consensus" brings to economic development of the developing countries. The author concludes that if the developing countries are to get rid of their own problems in economic development, meet that challenge of economic globalization and raise their own economic security, they must fight against the neo-liberalism economic theory while participating in the process of economic globalization.

Exploration into socialist business management system characteristic of the Chinese style is an important part of Deng Xiaoping’s economic. The construction of this theory was based on comparative studies,that is,diachronic study of our business management at present and in history,and synchronic study of our economic system with those operating in other countries. The core of Deng Xiaoping’s theory in business management lies in reforming the method of management. The reform of economic management modes is the key content for establishing socialist economic management system with Chinese characteristics. Deng Xiaoping had probed into two basic aspects of economic management, namely,the reform of the state's administration modes for enterprises, and the reform of enterprise's own management modes. Meanwhil,he had also emphasized the close relations between political system reform and economic system reform.
