For Selected: Download Citations EndNote Ris BibTeX Toggle Thumbnails Select Scientific Methodology and Scientific Movement of Thoughts in Modern China Yang Guorong Teaching and Research    1999, (6): 23-30,80.   Abstract （1182）      PDF（pc） （1185KB）（1744）       Knowledge map    Save This article at tempts to describe the trend of scientific methodology and scientific movement of thoughts in modern China.It maintains that Yan Fu was the man who introduced the Western theories of methodology and principles of positivism,while Wang Guowei in terpreted the positivistideas and becameaw are of the connection between contemporary positivism and the down-to-earth methodology,laying emphasis on combination of them in seeking historic evidence.Hu Shi’s theory of methodology,on the other hand,includes those of the Western experimental science and principles of pragmatics,aiming at relating these two sets of theories to principles of the down-to-earth learning of Qing Dynasty in the light of general methodology.The blending of contemporary scientific methodology with traditional methodology reflects the tendency of the enlargement of scientific territory and the rising position of science.
