Since the 1980s,scholars at home have raised many suggestions aimed at systemic innovation of Marxist philosophy.Their new theories and ideas can be roughly classified as three sets of conflicting ideas. The first set of conflicting ideas concerns the system of Marxist philosophy. The second involves different interpretations of the principal ideas of Marxist philosophy, namely, the philosophical concept of Marxism and the true spirit of Marxist philosophy; The third refers to the research approaches or research models expressed by transcendence and reflection respectively.Of the two,one advocates reflective construction in the form of rational explanation, while the other advocates critical construction in the form of practical explanation.

    Rational Connotation of "Social Value"
    YUAN Zu-she
    Teaching and Research    2004, (5): 18-24.
    Abstract1105)      PDF(pc) (1258KB)(1761)       Save
Marxist philosophic theory on social history has developed beyond the traditional framework of social nominalism and social realism, insinsting on interpreting the nature of the society in the light of "practice".It holds that"social values"follow an inherent rule of "totality logic",and that the social value should not be simply seen as the sum of individual values. The internal properties of social values are not fixed or abstract entities based on hypotheses, but rather entities with substantial and productive characteristics. The author concludes that connotation of social values can be divided into"the subjective social value"and "the objective social value",but it should be seen as a coherent whole.

Human Interpretation of Truth and Its Significance: Perspective of Rationality
    YUAN Zu-she
    Teaching and Research    2003, (3): 27-32.
    Abstract1240)      PDF(pc) (1643KB)(1587)       Save
The author maintains that restoration of the profound meaning of human nature contained in the core of truth requires going beyond the traditional conception of truth. To achieve this it is crucial to establish a way of thinking which is dialectical, historical, practical, subjective and of value, the essence of which consists in the practice oriented thinking patterns founded by Marx and manifested throughout his works. From this perspective, truth refers to a promise of subjectivity made and offered in the light of human rationality to the rational nature of man’s manner in coping with the target world and of all the target activities of human beings plus outcomes of these activities.
