For Selected: Download Citations EndNote Ris BibTeX Toggle Thumbnails Select Identification of "Western Marxism" YOU Zhao-he Teaching and Research    2010, (7): 72-79.   Abstract （1294）      PDF（pc） （2858KB）（1735）       Knowledge map    Save The author claims that the concept "western Marxism" is obscure in meaning and with logical contradictions,for it fails to distinguish itself from "Marxism"(or "traditional Marxism").Geographically speaking,since "Marxism" was initiated in the west,it may also be referred to as "western Marxism".The author maintains that "western Marxism" differs greatly from "Marxism" in such factors as theoretical nature,theoretical basis,theoretical property and social foundation.On the whole,it is not "Marxism" at all.The author suggests that the so-called western Marxism may be regarded as "Marxism studies in the west(the left wing)".To be more accurate,it should be named as "schools of Marxism in the west",which stands for the academic explorations of Marx’s ideas and social reform by intellectuals in the west with certain theoretical value and practical significance. Reference | Related Articles | Metrics | Comments（0） Select On the Essence of Values of Life and Its Difference from General Values YOU Zhao-he Teaching and Research    2008, (2): 72-79.   Abstract （1313）      PDF（pc） （2381KB）（1725）       Knowledge map    Save The word "value" originally means "cover up,protect,strengthen".It reflects the internal nature and goal of human exploration.The nature of value does not lie in external material needs,but recognition of significance of human life.Therefore,the essence of value is life,and the exploration of and reflection on meaning of life is the point of departure of philosophy of value.Studies of general values have been trapped because of the subjects,methodology,and concepts,thus it is necessary to construct "values of life" on the basis of human science.Values of life attempts to discover the nature of value through questioning,advocates the cognitive model of distinguishing the subject and the object.It aims to realize integration of philosophy of life and philosophy of value,and integration of the Chinese philosophy and the western philosophy as well.
