With historical materialism as a point of departure,Marxist economics is in the form of material dialectics, which is different from the western economics. The western economics,on the other hand,is in the form of a set of scientific methodology and system with the value concept of realist philosophy as the point of departure. As Marxist historical materialism is characterized by ontology of social existence, the study of ontology also becomes an important point that distinguishes Marxist economics from the western economics.Studying Marxist economics from the perspective of ontology is not only helpful in understanding the differences between Marxist economics and the western economics, but also helps us understand the contemporary value of Marxist economics.

The author observes that new changes have occurred in the capitalist industrial organizations since World War II, resulting in the trend of turning from a market system under scale monopoly to a market system under monopoly of technology. Therefore, if an enterprise wants to maintain control of the market and increase its competitive capacity it must take advantage of advanced technology and seeks integration of technology and scale from inside the enterprise.Capitalism is characterized by simultaneous occurrences of stagnation and accelerating productivity.
