Reference | Related Articles | Metrics | Comments（0） Select A Review of Studies of International Relation in France WU Zhi-cheng, YANG Na Teaching and Research    2008, (10): 85-91.   Abstract （1208）      PDF（pc） （1456KB）（1713）       Knowledge map    Save In the field of international relation the American and British schools occupy a dominant position while studies by French scholars appear to be relatively weak.The French international relation studies are closely related to such disciplines as sociology,philosophy and anthropology.It consists of three major schools,namely the annals school,social theory of international relations and post-modernism.To a certain extent the French IR studies have deviated from the single-dimension research model of the American mainstream school,resulting in more variety in IR theories.On the other hand,the long-time self-closure and isolation has left negative impact on development of IR theory in France.In recent years,many French scholars started to participate in academic communications with scholars of other countries,especially American and British scholars.Their active involvement has enabled them to exercise more influence on the international agenda. Reference | Related Articles | Metrics | Comments（0） Select Competition or Ownership——An empirical investigation to the mechanism of SOEs NIE Hui-hua, TU Xiao-ling, YANG Nan Teaching and Research    2008, (1): 39-45.   Abstract （1269）      PDF（pc） （1860KB）（1814）       Knowledge map    Save Using 2001-2003 firm-level panel data of manufacturing firms above scale in China,the paper tests two hypotheses: the ownership argument and the market argument.The ownership argument states that the key of state-owned enterprises(SOEs)reform is to change ownership,however the market argument considers that creating a competitive market is the most important.This paper shows that comparing to other ownerships,SOEs strongly lead to worse business performance represented by business profit rate viven the degree of market competition,and the outcome holds in all degrees of market competition.Controlling the effect of market competition on ownership,state-owned capital still has strong negative effect on business performance,but private capital has strong positive effect.This paper indicates that the key of SOEs reform is the ownership and the internal governance of SOEs.
