    YANG Hai-feng

    Abstract1141)      PDF(pc) (1232KB)(2209)       Save
Hegemony is a basic concept of the radical democratic politics of Laclau and Mouffe in the post-modernist history.Through critique of orthodox essentialism, they transformed Gramsci’s idea of hegemony into a relation of multiple determination and of links at the level of discourse game. This is a relation of displacement in place meant to facilitate intensified antagonism. They believe that only with such a link of hegemony can freedom, equality and autonomy of the subjects involved in struggles be pledged. Then, the ideal of radical democratic socialism will be realized.

Marxist Philosophy and Western Philosophy: Enlarging the Scope and Defining the Theoretical Boundaries
    YANG Hai-feng
    Teaching and Research    2005, (9): 20-22.
    Abstract1171)      PDF(pc) (429KB)(1592)       Save
To achieve modern construction of philosophy of Marx it is necessary to refer to questions and challenges raised by modern philosophy in the west. It is also necessary to define the theoretical boundaries between the two, so that they are not mixed up in understanding and discussion. Only in this way can philosophy of Marx establish channels of dialogue with modern western philosophy, and clear up the logical medium that leads it to modern philosophy.

    LI He-chen, YANG Hai-feng
    Teaching and Research    2005, (2): 13-18.

This article attempts to reflect on the concept of self in the traditional theory of cognition with the Marxist historical cognition as the point of departure. The author holds that in the composition of cognition the self and the non-individual inter-subjectivity are of identical construct. This functions as both the context for sense of practice and the basis of cognition characteristic of individual rationality.

Critical Implications of Marxist Philosophical Materialism
    YANG Hai-feng
    Teaching and Research    2003, (12): 35-39.
    Abstract1070)      PDF(pc) (866KB)(1665)       Save
Philosophical materialism by Marx is not only scientific analysis of social historical life, but also criticism of the course of social life. As a matter of fact, Marx’ criticism of old materialism has made his theory of materialism conform to dialectics, adding critical implications to materialism, and thus distinguishing his theory of criticism from that of ethical criticism. In this sense, the author concludes, regarding Marxist philosophy as metaphysic in order to gain new intensity of criticism has been the result of misinterpretation of Marxist philosophical materialism.
