    Theoretical Interpretation of Constructing an Independent Knowledge System of the Discipline of Ideological and Political Education

    After 40 years of development, the discipline of ideological and political education has formed an independent knowledge system, which was nurtured within the theoretical framework of Marxism.This independent knowledge system is not only the theoretical sublimation of the practical insights of ideological and political education but also the product of the collective exploration of the academic community of ideological and political education. From a structural point of view, the independent knowledge system of the discipline of ideological and political education consists of four parts: the conceptual, theoretical, principle, and paradigm layers, constituting a complete knowledge system and tracing the evolution of knowledge through its development. In terms of types, comprehensive research, thematic research, historical research, normative research, comparative research and applied research constitute the basic content of the independent knowledge system of the discipline of ideological and political education, reflecting the basic attributes and practical focuses of this knowledge system. The independent knowledge system of the discipline of ideological and political education is an organic and unified whole based on the “truth”derived from the Marxist theory, the “goodness” mainly expressed in civilization value, national value, social value and individual value, and the “beauty” reflected in the internal structure of the knowledge system. It has distinctive theoretical qualities, which lays the knowledge foundation for comprehensively enhancing “leading power of ideological and political education” and promoting its highquality development.

    Approaches to Narrate the Modernization of Ideological and Political Education

    Modernization is a historical narrative, and the modernization of Ideological and Political Education is a historical narrative that defines its development direction, examines its development status, grasps its development requirements, and inquires about its development trends. A systematic understanding of the meaning and ways of this narrative can be approached from four perspectives: time, space, subject, and law. The modernization of Ideological and Political Education has its own temporal characteristics, which are compatible with the construction process of socialist civilization and the modern civilization of the Chinese nation, and are in line with the constantly developing socialist ideological demands and ideological value expectations. The modernization of Ideological and Political Education is carried out in a specific spatial field, which carries specific values, ideas, and culture. It is necessary to focus on the spatial transformation driven by modernization and create a spatial carrier of Ideological and Political Education with modern characteristics. The modernization of Ideological and Political Education embodies the unity conforming to both regularity and purposiveness. On the one hand, it highlights the historical initiative of educators, and internally requires the formation of a modern subject pattern of education for all; on the other hand, its regularity is reflected in the integrated law of vertical articulation and horizontal alignment, the collaborative law of the education system and social system, the development law of knowledge, belief, and action, and the transformation law of toplevel design and flexible implementation.

    The New Form of Human Civilization That Creates a Better Life

    The creation of the new form of human civilization is a great undertaking of world historical significance, which not only directly points to the transformation of the form of civilization at the macro level, but also deeply relates to the historical evolution of the lifestyle in contemporary China. Civilization is not abstract, but historical and concrete. There is unity between the grand civilization and the microscopic life. Different forms of civilization are necessarily related to different modes of production and ways of life, which do not depend on human will. The special stipulation is required for creating a better life under the historical orientation of the new form of human civilization. It is not only a lifestyle developed under the socialist civilization, but also a lifestyle with the gene of Chinese civilization, and a lifestyle at the height of modern civilization, opening up a new life prospect of the new form of human civilization at the micro level. Taking a better life as the leading goal can promote the integration of the macrolevel development and microlevel narrative of the new form of human civilization, facilitate the implementation of peoplecentered development philosophy into practice, and constantly advance the development of the new form of human civilization to a new historical height.

    Institutionalized “Identity”: The Inherent Stipulation of the Original Intention and Mission of the Identity of the Chinese Communists

    The original intention and mission internally shape an institutionalized identity of the Chinese Communists, that is, to be the leader of people's happiness and national rejuvenation. This is an institutionalized identity, which embeds the inevitability logic of historical development, the endogenous logic of ideals and beliefs, and the purpose logic of contemporary Chinese practice. In the new era, the institutionalized identity derived from the original aspiration and mission has a threefold stipulation: one is to achieve a better life for people under socialist conditions; the other is to promote the revival of Chinese civilization in the 21st century; The evolution of “history” continues to benefit the world. To consolidate this institutionalized identity requires the interaction and mutual promotion of various institutional arrangements and the “not forgetting the original intention and keeping in mind the mission system” as the main system, especially relying on the carrier of this institutionalized identity, the Communist Party members, generate a normalized and standardized institutional effect from the spiritual world to institutional practice.
