Perception of income inequality is more effective in explaining individual support for democracy, while objective income inequality is more significantly correlated with democratic satisfaction at the national level. Perception of income inequality affects democratic satisfaction by weakening peoples political participation. Both subjective and objective income inequality will undermine the democratic satisfaction in Western mature democracies, which provides empirical support for the recent theory of “democratic deconsolidation”. Therefore, it is increasingly important for them to find ways to meet the challenges, to undergo systemic reform in order to adapt to the new situation, and to guard against, avoid or lessen negative influence of economic globalization. The author emphasizes that national security is not merely a matter of passively guarding against foreign countries. Instead, it should be related to reform, development and stability at home. A country can be safe in this respect only by maintaining regularized open-up to the outside and establishing a sound system from inside. Tremendous changes in the world pattern of economic growth made the economic model we adopted from Soviet Union out of date and no longer suitable in the new world situation. Innovation in science and technology then, the author points out, is a new parameter in modern world economy. But it can bring about great economic profit and social effect only in suitable system. Its major theme consists of three points. First,being a type of moral care it appears to be both moral affection and moral understanding,both will and behavior supported by the will. Secondly,it concerns the relation between moral and sex with ideas of deep involvement of sex,escaping from sex,and transcending sex. Thirdly,it has to do with relation between caring and practice caring. It believes that it is necessary to explore moral development and moral education from the perspective of caring,to explore the approach to peace in the light of maternal way of thinking,and thus regard caring as an ideal in social political,economic and moral reform. Caring ethics also brings with it revolution in methodology. In terms of noumenon theory it calls for self-identification and autonomy; in terms of epistemology it emphasizes the immediate situation instead of abstract or common principles,and emphasizes personal experience and feelings instead of rational judgment or proof.
