For Selected: Download Citations EndNote Ris BibTeX Toggle Thumbnails Select The Liberation of Labor and the Enchantment of Nature Wang Dai-yue Teaching and Research    Select A Diachronic Study of Marx’ Transcendence of Hegel’s Theory of Civil Society WANG Dai-yue Teaching and Research    2010, (3): 32-37.   Abstract （1229）      PDF（pc） （1855KB）（1768）       Knowledge map    Save It is generally believed that Marx transcended Hegel’s theory of civil society in his work Critique of Hegel’s Philosophy of Law.However,this is not true.In fact,Marx had experienced a long exploration process before he achieved this transcendence.This process has been much more complicated than we have imagined.The Hegelian civil society theory was developed against a rich background of classical economic theories.To transcend this theory requires not only a breakthrough of the Hegelian idealistic philosophy,but also clarification of the foundation of his civil society theory by dwelling on the field of economics.Marx finally completed this transcendence in his work Das Kapital and its manuscripts.Two other works of his,"Paris Manuscripts" and "Economic Manuscripts of 1857—1858",marked out the two turning points in this three-stage exploration.
