Paradoxical Movement of "Presentation" and "Thought"——A Theoretical Model of Process of Cognitive Development

This article holds that presentation" and thought" should be regarded as key categories in describing paradoxical movement of cognition for the reason that they sy mbolize reality of the perceptual" and the rational" int he cog nition process, reasonably explaining integration of content and form in cognition, which lends itself easilyto construction of new norms in the process of cognitive development. The paradox ical movement of presentation"and thought" consists of three steps, namely, thought handling" presentation referred to as perceptual concrete", thought evaporating " presentation referred to as rational abstract" , and thought reorganizing" presentation referred to as rational concrete" . Using paradox ical mo vement of presentation" and thoug ht" to interprett he process of cognition makes it possible to transcend empir icism and rationalism and reach a practical interpr etation of paradoxes of the perceptual and the rational, presentation and thought , as well as thinking and existence.
