The study of core concepts, conceptual clusters, and conceptual systems constitutes a vital component of the discipline of CPC history and Party building, particularly in research on the intellectual history of the Party. This research perspective and methodology not only expands new frontiers in the study of CPC history and Party building, concretizes research on the Partys intellectual history, but also advances the semantic and practical dimensions of the discipline. By examining the interplay between core concepts and the narrative framework of CPC history and Party building, the structural formation of core concepts as clusters, the historical evolution of core concepts, and their actionoriented contributions, this approach aims to analyze the semantic composition and developmental trajectory of core concepts through the lens of conceptual archaeology. It positions concepts as subjects of academic inquiry, exploring their diachronic evolution, synchronic construction, and boundaries of application, thereby revealing how core concepts enrich the theoretical foundations of CPC history and Party building while guiding practical endeavors. Furthermore, it investigates how collective concepts, as clusters and systems, interact, intertwine, and evolve collectively, how the generative nature, interconnectedness, and family resemblances of upstream and downstream concepts refine the ideological framework, theoretical significance, and actionoriented principles of the discipline, and how these concepts shape peoples historical and political outlooks in complex yet dynamic ways.

The awareness of potential dangers is an ideology created and developed based on the Chinese culture. From the very day of its creation, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has had clear and collective awareness of potential dangers, which has been consistently reflected in various historical periods of socialist revolution and construction and reform and opening up. To conduct Party history research, we must pay attention to the ideological variable of the CPCs collective awareness of potential dangers. In specific, for the research on the history of the founding of the Party, we should clarify the Partys inherent awareness of potential dangers about the times; for the research on the history of New China, we should highlight the awareness of potential dangers about governance caused by the transformation of the Partys identity; for the research on the history of reform and opening up, we should emphasize the existential dangers brought by domestic and foreign challenges; for the research on the history of national rejuvenation, we should notice the Partys mission and awareness of potential dangers in realizing its great dream; and for the research on the history of Party building, we should clearly address the potential dangers of selfrevolution that are unique problems for large parties. In the study of key figures, events and periods, we should consciously examine the impact of the awareness of potential dangers on the Partys decisionmaking, national development, and the Party building. Only in this way can Party history research be brought back to the scene where Party history events occurred and to the decisionmaking field of figures in the history of the Party. Through an empathic relationship between the research subject and object, we can reach the realm of “understanding” without “separation”, and truly make academic contributions to Party history research practically from seeking truth to seeking solutions.

In the course of the centurylong struggle of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the spiritual quality of “persistence” is a unique spiritual strength. Throughout the course of Chinas revolution, development and reform, this spirit has been reflected in the CPC's relentless efforts to achieve the set goals, and its clearheaded unremitting efforts to promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. In examining the successful experience of the CPC's centurylong struggle, the spiritual quality of “persistence” is the ideological basis for the realization of historical experience, and the spiritual resource for accomplishing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Looking back on the CPC's centurylong struggle, concerning why, what and how it persists, it is not only the history of the development of the Party's practical movement, but also the tracing of its political quality. It is a vivid demonstration of the Party's indomitable spirit that no matter how powerful the enemy, how difficult the journey, or how grave the challenges, the Party has never lost heart or backed down, and never hesitated to make necessary sacrifices. It has remained unyielding despite all setbacks, fighting for our people, our country, and our nation, as well as our shared ideals and convictions.
