The basic principle of compiling textbooks of theories and practice of socialist construction should be:adhering to the guidelines of Marxism, Mao Zedong thought, Deng Xiaoping theory and the “three represents”, implementing the ideas of emancipating the mind, sticking to the truth, and advancing with the time in order to carry out vigorous explorations of important theoretical and practical issues in socialist construction, seeking solutions to the hot issues, problems and controversies.
