The objective world is generated by practice and knowledge constructs peoples thought and behavior, and people also construct practice and knowledge that are beneficial to themselves. Reification is the phenomenon that the product of human activities is independent of human beings, not subject to their control, and restricts the latter. In modern times, the Westerndominated international system and order and the international relations theory (knowledge) derived from the practice of Western international relations, as “objective reality” and “subjective reality”, continue to shape contemporary international relations, restrict the independent choice and external behavior of emerging markets and developing countries, limit their right to participate in international affairs and their creativity, and make them become passive recipients of the existing practices and theories of international relations. This paper analyzes the essence of the history and reality of Western international relations and the defects of relevant theoretical viewpoints. It holds that the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind has adapted to the reality of major changes unseen in a century and put forward new principles and ideas to guide the future development of international relations, making it possible to usher in a new type of international relations.
