At present, we are adopting the model of separate operation in China. As joint operation is the orientation of the banking reform in the world, the question that whether China's banking system will be affected by her entry into WTO has arisen. The author holds that in the light of the specific features of national treatment clauses in GATS, the impact of entry into WTO on our banking system is not an essential one.
