Marxist international relation theory differs from that of the western mainstream theory in its logics and philosophic connotation. Marxist theory is similar with the western theory in terms of the theme of world politics, motives for development of world politics, basic paradigm of research on international affairs and the philosophical and historical nature of the theory. However, Marxist theory has its own specific perspectives. It is imperative that socialist countries adopt an open and scientific attitude towards Marxist international relation theory, and apply the theory in coping with foreign affairs and conducting academic research on international relation.
